How do you die without reaching a checkpoint?

It's the second room, the one with the three ascending platforms.  The room is higher than it normally looks. usually you cant reach high enough to get to the third section but If you go to where you get the second bomb and take it.  you can backtrack and use the two bombs to get higher than you normally can.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get to the platform above?

I've been trying to backtrack to the start after I get the second bomb but I've been stopped by a frog.

You could probably add importing and exporting. Many idle games have it.
