This is a great concept!! I would love to see some more levels and enemies.

I think it's a missed opportunity that you don't keep your limbs when moving to the next level. I think that would have made it more fun since you'd be getting more powerful after each stage, and are now made up of a bunch of wacky parts.

The characters are very nice looking. They remind me of scribblenauts, which is cool and works perfect for this limb-swapping idea.

Great stuff!

Oh, dang, this is super clever! It seems super easy at first but then you quickly realize how tough it is.

I'm used to analog clocks with numbers on them so I really suck at this.

Great job!

This is great so far! I don't really play VNs but I'm curious to check this out again in the future. I like the concept, I can imagine a lot of fun scenarios coming from it.

The art looks great too!

Very cute! I like being able to customize my car!

The perspective is unique for a racing game, though it does feel a bit odd how you snap up and down when moving up/down.

I like how the garage rat is absolutely PISSED OFF and the player is just :)

It feels nice to play and the visuals are good, but the note charts you play are very boring and repetitive. It's the same loop of notes for all 2ish minutes of the songs.

If there just wasn't time to flesh out all the songs, I totally get it, that's fine, but it might have been better to focus all the time to make 1 very fun song rather than stretch yourselves thin across multiple songs.

Anyway, I like the spooky vibe, the marionette and the big hands looming over, and the songs themselves are nice. The combo system is a nice touch. Good work everyone!

Playing on firefox and the game is scaled way too big, cutting off a lot of the screen, so unfortunately I'm not able to play.

This is a really cool idea! It's fun parrying the spells and sending them back at the enemies.

I'm having a hard time parrying the arced spells, and I haven't got past the second level because of that.

The visuals are great, I love the prerendered 3D style. The character designs are a lot of fun. I like the concept of a trash wizard fighting the wizard police.

I'd be interested in an expanded version of the game!

This looks cool! I like the procedural map and the enemy AI.

Unfortunately I have no idea what I'm doing. It probably would make more sense to someone who plays RTS games. Also on my first two runs I was placed on a dinky little island with hardly any resources.

But as a prototype, this is very cool!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

And yeah, I've heard similar things from others. In a post-jam version, I would add a lives system so you don't have start over every time.

You might not want to shoot the asteroids since they can break apart in unpredictable ways. But yeah, in a post-jam version I would add an option to have the fire button be a toggle rather than you having to hold it.

Some of the shop code would not work with mouse, and I didn't have the time to fix it so I just disabled it.

Really cool and spooky! I like the camera gimmick. When the ghost first showed up I was really surprised and I spent a minute running around the room thinking it would kill me if i touched it lol. The finale with the house flooding was great.

I like the visuals, especially the use of 2D billboarded sprites. It gives a very unique vibe, and I also just really like billboards.

(also im obligated to complain that there's no linux build and I had to run it through wine)

A cute rhythm game with a sweet story! It's very well polished, and the music is great. The story segments kept me motivated to keep going even after I failed a level.

My only complaint is that the red color of the left-click notes has poor contrast against the brown background of the clock, which can make it difficult to see the incoming notes. Also there doesn't seem to be a way to go fullscreen?

Great job everyone!!

This was really great! I don't really play visual novels but I enjoyed this. The story is very sweet and makes me all warm and fuzzy. Reading the memories was really neat, I always like slice-of-life stories like that.

The concept of the memory ore is very cool, and I like all the robots and the ways they are affected by the memories they've been given. "robots gaining human emotions" is a top tier media trope for me.

I like the little hints the dialog gives to the world outside the repair shop, the Gen 1s, the ethics department, the corporation.

Great work!!!

(1 edit)

This is a really cool battle system! I like how my party is kinda doing their own thing and I'm just in a supportive role, where in most games you would be selecting every little thing each member does. Makes them feel more alive. I'm a big fan of the Axe Boot.

Unfortunately I really suck at these kinds of games so I was very quickly overwhelmed after the tutorial.

My only suggestion would be to allow switching the selected spell with the number keys rather than only the scroll wheel. And maybe showing the name of the spell as a reminder to what it does.

Good luck on whatever game you're using this for!

(also im obligated to complain that there's no linux build and I had to run it through wine)

Is this inspired by Space Station Silicon Valley??? :0

First off I have to complain that there's no Linux build, I had to run it through wine which is annoying. But anyways.

Oh man, this is so so cool!! I love it!!! It's absolutely gorgeous and super fun. The low-poly models and heavily dithered textures are a perfect match for the world's grungy aesthetic. The music is great too. All the robots are cool and fun to play around with.

My only complaint is that I did encounter some bugs. When I first started the game, I blew up the wall with the bomb robot, but somehow I died and was sent to a checkpoint I had never touched, which I was very confused by. I ended up resetting my save and it worked fine the next time.

I would occasionally have trouble moving on slopes or get caught on walls when falling. I also managed to get softlocked in a little crevasse in the terrain (but I could just return to checkpoint from the menu so I was fine)

But regardless this is super impressive, great job to everyone that made this happen!!! I definitely want to collect all the thingies after I've played the other jam games. It would be awesome to see this game expanded in some way. I want to know more about this world and its characters!

It took a bit to get used to the controls, but I actually find it pretty fun (and funny!)

Unfortunately I can't get past the fan part. It shoots me up so fast and I can't control where I'm going so I always miss the little trees.

What I would recommend is saving the fan gimmick for later in the game, and starting the player off with some basic platforming. Just something simple, flinging between different platforms or cows.

I really wish I was able to get further because I am finding the movement fun!

Wow, I'm very impressed by how much stuff there is here. Honestly was kinda overwhelmed at the start.

I like all the variety of ships, especially how you can play as either small fighters or as giant motherships.

In terms of completeness: I mean, there's a ton of content to explore.

In terms of fun: Maybe I just suck, but I feel like I'm dying constantly. I'm often surrounded by ships on all sides, or getting sniped by ships I can't see. Since I'm dying so much I don't really get to interact with the upgrade system which I imagine would allow me to survive longer.

The time limit on choosing a ship prevents me from making an educated choice on what to play as, so I just have to choose at random and hope for the best.

But don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean I didn't had fun! The core gameplay of flying around and shooting is very fun. I had fun trying all the different ships, exploring the different modes, and being able to design your own ship is very cool!

As you can guess by my own submission, I like space shoot-em-ups, so it's cool that there's another in this jam! :)

First off, this is super impressive for a jam! It's very well polished, you did a great job managing your time and the scope of the game.

I think the storytelling was done well. I liked how as you progress, you realize the protagonist might be staying inside for a good reason... I really wanted to look at the sky though!

My only gripe is with the finale. I found the heartbeat QTE to be frustrating, and I failed maybe 5 times. It was only the very last part with the screwdriver that messed me up. There's no "game over" screen so when you fail, you are abruptly sent back to the start.  It's unfortunate, I was so focused on the clicking that I didn't really get to soak in the cool cutscene.

Art-wise it was great, there's lots of nice animations, and the apartment was fun to explore and suitably detailed for the PS1 style. The cutscenes were well done.

Overall, it was fun, had a cool story, and looked great!

By the way, you can access the peephole from the shower.
