I've done this before on other jams; not the creator but presumably its fine. The screenshot's purpose is to audit that its yours, so it serves its purpose well.

Personally, that 4th chord was held out for a bit too long. While the dissonance feels very intentional maybe it could have evolved into another chord with the same dissonance but still different.

The intro leading to the tune is quite nice! Altho the 8 bit, while it does fit, I wish was more layered. Cheers!

(1 edit)

The slide at the very start is nice, haven't seen that a lot elsewhere.

Edit: I meant at the very end, oops!

The ambient feel is quite nice!

I like this one, it's quite musical while still providing the sound effect vibe ish.

This one is nice too! Less musical but also quite melodic.

Really clean! While it isn't quite music as it is more a sound effect, it is really nice and polished.

The sound design is great! For ambient music good sound design really puts it together, and here it really delivers!

The lore is a bit text heavy, but it's really expressed through the music.

I'm a bit biased because I adore this style, but I enjoyed these track really nicely! The production is really nice and the sound design is well made aswell!

Thanks, I tried to fit it with the entirety of the story and the time I had left.

Thanks for rating!

These are such nice tracks, everything feels in place and has its role in the music. I especially like the glockenspiel, how its almost desynced and feels pretty wide. I wish you get high placement in this contest because you will have deserved it.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was quite rushed and the direction on the first part of the week was really hazy, so I'm glad I was able to make something anyone enjoyed within 2 days.

On the duck part, quack.

This is another one that I would wish would get top!

The instruments, ambience, composition are all well done, and the story could also be felt in the composition.

I hope to see this in a pretty cool spot!

Probably one of the best stories in the jam so far!

The album itself is also really well made, I like the drums and the payday-ish style music, but I can still hear how you composed it! I wish you win or at least get the top spot in this because this is really well made all in 9 days!

These two are nice songs, and the ambience is nice. Althou I don't click with it, it has all the bells and whistles of a nice track

Yeah the ambience is really nice! For being ambient music it's still an enjoyable experience while listening to it sitting down.

This is a nice one! I like the atmospheres you have forged, the weird waviness of it all, and personally the ambiences add a nice touch. Althou, I can't seem to pick up one specific thing that makes it unique and stand out.

This one is quite fun too

The sounds put forth were nice and I enjoyed it!

This is a really nice album!

I can't really point out things I hope would be better, well done! I hope you the best in the album, rooting for ya to be at the top!

It is a nice album and great overall, but i feel like some minor issues I can point out

Intro's bass sections feel too fat for me, overpowering the piece

Lack of legato also irks me, but it is understandable and may be part of the style.

Also, looking at the way it was made it seems you used an engraver. This is pretty cool, as I use one too, so its nice that this was made with that restriction in place. I am curious, what samples did you use? And how did you master the entire thing?

Yeah as with all art it is a balancing act, but its suprising how much you can get away withthat is both not noticeable as background but really add a nice touch in isolation imo

It seems you'll be continuing this after the jam, best wishes and i really hope it goes well for ya!

This is a really nice album! I like the lead, the jazz sensibilities, and overall the story. One thing I wish was more swing, I felt like it could have used a little more of it.

Overall it is stil great, good luck if you wanna continue this after the jam!

A nice track! Story wise I can jive with it, and the pieces are also great! The ambiences are also a great part of the pieces that add to them.

Well produced and well composed! The only thing that I can say is that the story is almost not there.

This one is quite nice, but i'd have to say it is quite rough around the edges:

The soundfont's samples are good sometimes, but some samples feel off, disconnected

The rhythm and stucture feels "rigid",lack of tiny variatons and flourishes

But you did well, storytelling wise imo, good job!

I like this texture. What a nice work! The strings also do good here!

I like the use of the high strings along with the piano. The textures are nice. Well done!

I know I can't rate yet but just gotta say this one is great! Commenting so that when it comes time to rate I remember to rate this one first.

This my favourite one. I like the guitar, esp with how you used the bridge (or I assume close to) pickup to make that surf rock style sound. Tho I wish the guitar would break up a little the clean sound fits it nicely. 5 Stars!

I used Musescore 4. Its quite painful when editing dynamics and velocities but I managed to make it work. Thanks for the comment!
