The original Lasers & Feelings rules state that rolling the exact number on any die results in a special effect. However, I find this to occur way too often (1 out of 6 rolls is a bit much to give players "special insight"), so I opted to instead word it so that it only happens if all three dice (or more, if one gets extra dice through some effect) land on the exact number. This reduces the chance significantly, but will provide a much higher impact if it occurs. Feel free to home-brew it to work like the original rules though, if that suits your style better :)
Hi! L&F is a great system that I love, and so I created my own hack inpsired by Hollow Knight: "Soul & Void"! It (currently) contains a player guide and character sheet, with a stronger focus on concrete item suggestions that fit the vibe of the setting.
