As someone who is both not super into puzzle games, but also works on his own sokoban-style game (wild, I know) I can't just ignore such a lovely game like this one. Small twist on classic setup makes it fresh and the amount of levels for 3 day jam is incredible.

For something that's in every game (it feels like) Im always surprised when someone do something creative with fishing. Really nice experience.

I just want to say that I'm blown away by this game. From sound and music, through the art (and the color palette), the really nice post-processing effects, to the writing, this game is clearly one of the biggest gems of this jam. Plus I'm also a huge dungeon crawler fan so, while im not super familiar with PC-98 titles, I love the presentation.

Im so impressed how this game turned out. Not a huge fan of puzzle games in general but here it was nothing but pleasure. Only thing it lack was ability to move already placed tiles (and maybe adding indicatior on from where fox is coming from).

Really nice atmosphere, environment. Characters are super cute and sound design adds a LOT. For a 3 day jam the level to which this town feels alive is incredible. The only small issue I had was running this on Linux, thats why I rank it so late.

(1 edit)

One huge WOW. Game is amazing, environment gives it nice comfy feel, yetis are super cute, easter eggs are nice. I love that game gives you all the information without HUD. Sound also top-notch. You guys hit the home run with that one.

The only thing that stood out was that camera felt a bit too sensitive (option to change that would be great, but I get it... limited time during jam).

Awsome game!

Here I am, collecting all the other cafe/hot chocolate games in this Jam.

Overall its a really nice game, soundtrack is nice, art style also adds a lot to the vibe (the slight glow just creates this "evening at hot chocolate stand" feel). I guess if I were to change something, I would keep the customer's order somewhere after the text bubble disappears.

Soundtrack slaps, game looks hot, dash is a nice addition. It just feels like hitboxes (for both taking turns and being hit by the bear) are a bit off. Still, really creative take on the classic game that I feel isn't explored that often.

First: huge props for using your own engine. Besides that, I totally love this game. From presentation, through the music and sound to the gameplay. Very relaxing but also enjoyable. If I were to complain about something it would be the fact that so many puzzles are symmetrical (but I get that with jam this short you may not have time to make more puzzles.)

I really like the assets and the scrolling background. The issue is however that I cant really tell whats going on. Enemies (obstactles) are animated weird, cant tell where their hitbox is and it feels like mashing attack was the only way to make it through them.

(Played the linux version)

First thing: I LOVE the 2D art in here (plus I'm a sucker for bears, so that's extra point in my book).

Gameplay is really enjoyable and smooth once I got used to it. Textures just feel a bit noisy, and controls get weird once you hit something and bear turns around. But other than that is really nice experience.

Thanks! I had an initial idea for some sort of narrative with customers, but decided to drop that idea to keep scope small + wanted to focus on modular customer assets.

Wow! That's a lovely game. Congrats on your first game guys. Love the music and sound design + goofy characters. Only issues I have are slightly too big window size in browser and font sizes are all over the place. (It took me a while to realize they are leaving tips).

Yeah I understood that after couple of my friends gave me feedback. I guess that's something I'll keep in mind regarding next games. Glad you enjoyed it!

Glad you had fun!

[z] is for dash, [x] for shoot... I should've put them also on game page. Thanks for comment.
