Really great proof of concept! Got some Pokemon vibes just from the general perspective, art, and movement system, good job! The controls aren't overly obvious, and I struggled to figure out how to interact with people for a minute or two lol. The card 'battle' system is pretty intuitive and easy to get the hang of, and was pretty fun overall.

I was experiencing a possible soft lock with the opponent past the bridge to the south. After winning the first round, the game prompts me to place two more cards and then stops responding, with seemingly no way to progress other than exiting the game and restarting. Despite that, I still had a great time playing this.

Overall, super impressive for the time constraint. The mechanics and art feel great. Excited to see where you take it!

The atmosphere and art is done amazingly! Got Buckshot Roulette vibes. Highest I made it out with was ~18k! Great sound design as well. I see a lot of potential. Looking forward to see where you guys go with this, if at all. Great work!

Short but really good! The atmosphere and sound design is done really really well. Great work!

Not usually my genre, but this hit hard. The atmosphere and sound design are excellent, and the choices land with weight. Thanks for sharing something so personal, really well made!

Had a great time playing this! Really love the art & game design, great take on the theme as well. I miss Grandpa Flob.

Those sounds were crisp! Loved the visuals. The skeleton art, especially the one past the locked gate, was really well done and unsettling. Great work!

Thank you! Stoked that you figured it out quickly and had fun. I was working on cutting that wall of text into in-game hints, but time caught up with me haha!

Thank you so much!

The UI and art design is immaculate. Looks really really polished! Gets hectic pretty fast but I had a ton of fun playing. Great work!

This game had me cracking up. The sheer stupidity of trying to trick shot your bucket only to fumble the shot and still hit yourself square in the head. Great work haha!

Really interesting game & concept. Looks super polished for the time constraint! Great work!

Cool game! Loved the visuals and the sound design. The level design was great!

Cool game! Really liked the music and the art style. Loved using the daggers with the axe. Wish there were more upgrades to choose from, but I understand how difficult that can be with the time constraint. Good work!

Really love the art style. The characters kind of reminded me of the game Kindergarten. I got stuck on the second level for way too long, once I got the hang of the mechanics though it was super fun! Great level design.

Cool game! Kudos to your wife, such a pretty art style. Loved the dithering in the background.

Despite the bugs, it's still pretty cool. I really love your art style. I could only get past the first level, not sure if there was supposed to be a second one or not but it wouldn't load.

Fun  game! Liked the art style, and liked that you could only stay on the middle platform without taking damage. Almost feels like a bullet hell when you start getting overwhelmed and having to dodge/dash between them all.

Really cool game idea, had a lot of fun, and loved the art style! It did start to give me a mild headache after awhile since it was difficult for my eyes to keep track of what was happening, but I think if you increased the 'light' amount it would work really well!

Thanks for trying the game out! Yeah I definitely rushed it to meet the deadline haha. I’ll be sure to include a better tutorial next time!

Thanks for trying the game! I appreciate the feedback :)

Fun little game! I liked the combat, it reminded me of space invaders a bit. The health bars were kind of difficult to see for me. The boss fight felt a little cramped because of his size and he didn't move. I think he should've moved around at least a little bit around the area so you aren't really confined to this one space to hit him.

I enjoyed it none the less! Wish you luck with your future games :)

here's my game Planet Defender! first time ever participating in a game jam, hope you enjoy it. https://wolfemen1026.itch.io/planet-defender
