The game atmosphere is well conveyed through the modified itch.io page. The pastel purple fits really well with the other contrast colors, and helps with accessibility.

While the buttons on the main menu are a bit dark, which could be improved by a better color choice, the buttons on the game view are especially vibrant and provide an excellent contrast to other game elements.

By using a main menu button through which the user can go back to the main menu the developer ensure user control and reduces errors.
The clear labelling of the buttons show well understanding of proximity and also help with providing a minimalistic interface.

The overlay in the main menu scene is very nice and also allows the user to view the modelled 3D background which gives depth to the scene and furthermore helps with distinguishing UI elements from Ingame objects.

As a big bonus I find the flower on the main menu scene as it just really fits the theme "cheerful yet horrifying".

The consistency principles has been used well on the main menu page.
Each button element is sized equally as the others and the different distance between the upper buttons and the lower "quit" button fullfills the UI principles in terms of hierarchy.

I especially appreciate the color palette for the background as it fits the theme really nicely.
The happy atmosphere is well conveyed through the color choice. The black font on the pink buttons makes it more accessible too.

The back panel enhances the priority of the UI elements as it makes the background more transparent. It helps with user control as it reduces the misclicking on accident on other menu objects.

One thing I would improve is the position of the main menu button on the second scene. It is not really consistent with the overall theme.

The main menu is minimalistic and shows consistency in button placement and sizing. The UI elements are equally sized and provide a good feature overview. The user feedback when pressing the button is ideal for visual feedback.

The Scene Menu shows consistency again with buttons positioned in a functional order. (fe. Direction buttons are placed in the according direction)

This feature not only enhances proximity principles but also engages with the user on another stimulation level as the buttons are not only plainly labelled, they are also placed in the according position, where users would expect such elements.

Lastly the main menu buttons provide good user feedback by showing visual interaction (button pressed - colour change)

One thing that could be improved is the font color on the main menu buttons as it is not accessibility friendly with the green colour.

Overall the whole design is kept clear and consistent, as UI design should ideally be.
