SUPER CHARMING!! Maybe I'm old...I had to do so many tries for the pills. The art is adorable and I love the story! I was also delighted by how many minigames you guys made...excellent work!

Super cool! The art is beautiful, I really liked the silent film aesthetic in the beginning and I was delight by the choice at the end! The gameplay was rather hard but I liked the progression and game design choices for the mechanics! Things like exhaustion so you're incentivized to cling to the rocks was a cool design choice!
Wowwowowow this game from the get go was just so visually stunning, I loved the atmosphere, the setting, and the gameplay was surprisingly fun for a platformer. I loved the little things, like the perspective shifts and the feeling of running up buildings. The progressive gameplay was super cool and well done for 72 hours!
oh MAN I LOVED THE CONCEPT OF THIS GAME SO DEARLY. the art is soooooooo charming and i love the same style of paper mario combat that you guys did but with all your past selves. it was such a delight to realize that they were actually performing my past moves! i also didnt get a chance to try it out but i liked the little chart with all the combined status effects!
i got stuck at some point where i think maybe my past selves ran out of moves to repeat haha but i loved playing and seeing all the cute cats in their silly little outfits with their kissy faces <3
IM CRYING THIS IS SO WELL DONE
Some highlights:
- The title alone, great fantastic
- the music and sound effects...such a jam, also i burst out laughing hearing the nyan cat
- the art is so sketchy but clean in a way that shows how intentional it was, AND ANIMATED!! delightfully charming
- the concept and gameplay is just soooo funny i love how much you can actually see the incline change
- i was not expecting an end score corresponding to the number of deaths LOL loved all the stats
Aw man sorry you couldn't make it to ACM (the axoltol)! Yeah unfortunately the sink mechanic made moving sideways pretty hard especially at the bottom of the level, it was one of the things I would've liked to refine, as well as making the level longer or adding more stages, if we had more time. "Flee from the boulder" is a good way of putting it. I've always admired the pressure of "rising lava levels" for that feeling in games like Mario so I'm happy that feel landed for you in our game!
Thank you for the kind words :D
Thank you! We definitely took inspiration from that kind of game like agar.io as our jumping off point but wanted a mechanic with a different twist. The challenge of balancing weight vs mobility was one I wasn't sure was going to be as fun as I hoped so I'm glad people are enjoying it as much as I did during playtesting! (Shoutout to Brian for making the sink mechanic real :D) That's a good point about those other games existing though and their impact on a player's experience - something to keep in mind for future games and if we add in the player sprite growing in size along with weight (something we wanted but didn't have time for). Thank you for playing despite the bugs and enjoy your lobster!
Incredibly fun concept and well done! I had to look at the comments to figure out you could scroll to see the rest of the recipes, but had so much fun running around to cook both before and after! I think for UI the scroll was a bit slow to keep referencing instead of flipping the page but trying to keep all the recipes in my head definitely added to the chaos! The sheep getting so big that you have to build up to keep feeding it is such a good idea, had me scrambling to get up and chuck food at it! I laughed so much playing :D
