Oh, my bad. My username is .nsgames

Cool. Wanna discuss more about this in my discord?

Actually, I wouldn’t mind the help. I have the first part of my game halfway done, but I'm still working on the script. I have some things in mind, but I wouldn’t mind someone giving me their input on how the script could improve from what it is now.

I just got done reading your examples and dude, not bad at all. The coffee shop was hilariously clever and the post apocalyptic quest one was ironic because you gave the reader one of three options to choose.

That was something I planned for my game at some point when it came to battles, but I ended up ditching that idea way earlier in development.

Regarding the gameplay, the main thing I plan on doing for the game is putting an emphasis on character's emotions.

For battles, you can either reason or fight your enemies. Reasoning with them is you, the player, choosing to find out why they're either mad, sad, happy, etc. and calming them down whereas fighting is just you, the player, hurting them physically and not caring about what they're dealing with on the inside.

The story is something that I want to be lighthearted.

Humans, Animals, and Robots have lived together in peace for a good while, befriending one another and sharing resources with each other, until the leaders had disagreements on what would benefit their own respective groups.

At one point, there was a bad incident that involved a machine made by robots that ended up hurting some kids, as well as some animals.

After that day, the leaders decided to go their separate ways and formed big walls called Strongholds that stretch across their lands.

The player takes the role of a young human boy who stumbled upon the land of animals by mistake and later befriends a few of them.

Throughout his journey, he can either help out several other animals and robots with their own personal problems (or not) and in the end, he will meet the leaders of each group and see their own respective side of the story, as to why they felt they went their own separate ways.

I have something special that I really want to make. I've been working on this project by myself for a few years now, but I feel that I may need a small team to really get this game off the ground and into the public.

The main help I need in particular are folks who are really good at writing / storytelling (namely something that's lighthearted), a pixel artist, and someone who is more experienced with GDevelop than I am, as that's the game engine that I'm using currently. I'm still a beginner when it comes to game dev and while I've made a lot of progress with my game, I know that I still got a long road ahead of me.

Thank you for making these! :D

Thank you for making these assets and allowing folks to use them.

Seriously, these really helped me make my first real pixel character and help establish what I want my game world to be for an unannounced future project.

But I was just curious on something. Do you have a particular color palette for all this?

I didn't expect a developer to take time and read my review, no joke.

I just have a lot of respect for folks who make good indie games seeing how it's something I'm personally looking into doing myself, someday.

Again, the first game was pretty good and I wish the best for this series.

This is my little review of this game and I don't know if the developer (or developers) will see this, but I got to play this and this little game is really good.

Tough as nails, at least for me, but still. Another solid indie release and full props to the composer, too because there's a good number of songs here that was so pleasant to listen to. :)

Game is alright, but seriously chill out with those spikes in Marbel Zone

Just got done playing through the demo and Pavel Shibaev, if you're reading this, this was great.

It's also nice to see a solo indie dev make something cool like this, as I'm looking into being an indie dev myself at the moment. For the full game, please take your time making it.

I'm happy that someone made this book.

Undertale is my all-time favorite video game that I had the honor of playing, back at the beginning of 2020. It also helps that after playing through that masterpiece (of course, I'm talking about the pacifist route), it also introduced me to some very talented folks online who made numerous comic dubs, animations, and remixes all focused on this game.

(7/24/2021) My mini Update:

I feel I should tell whoever's reading this what's been going on, behind the scenes with me. I haven't feeling good since Wednesday this week. I've been coughing a lot, I've been blowing my nose constantly, and fast forward to today (7/24/2021) and I start feeling a bit better, but just to make sure it isn't what I think it is, one of my supervisors over where I work at in real life recommended that I should get tested for covid, before potentially coming back to work.

Long story short, I found out that I'm positive. I've really been trying to start development on my game for awhile now with the only progress I made, so far has been a few songs (which still aren't done yet), but with all this crap that I had to go through, this week, the only thing I've been able to do is just lay in my bed.

Hopefully, if I get through this, I can actually start making the game, but it's obvious that I'm going to have to miss this Game Jam. However, I do hope that whoever is apart of this Game Jam will make some awesome games, but hopefully had a much more pleasurable experience making it than what's going on with me, as of writing this.

Are you good at animating backgrounds?

That's alright. I'm new to making games, so I guess both of us will be learning something new.

Dude, your art is really good. I'm looking into pixel art myself, right now and well umm, yeah it's going to take me awhile to good at it.

But anyway, I have an idea for a simple rhythm game and I'm teaching myself  electronic music, at the moment.

I'm not sure this is what you're looking for, but I'm new to making games and Game Jams, so umm yeah.

Yeah, that's what I'm aiming for. Just something small, but simple.

Okay, thanks. I just hope that I can actually make something, though.

This game is pretty sweet.

- IMPORTANT UPDATE -

I wrote what's been going on with me, this past week and why I won't able to develop my game, currently. If you want to see those reasons, scroll down to the replies.

As you read from the title, I'm literally just starting out here. I don't have much knowledge with game development, at the moment, but there's many games that I really want to see become a reality and not just stuck in my head. But I want to start off small, something simple in comparison to what I want to make, down the line. Currently, there's an idea of a rhythmic, platform runner game that I have in mind and behind the scenes, I'm actually teaching myself to make electronic music and while I'm okay (at best), it's been a slower than usual process.

Long story short, I came across a YouTuber named "Goodgis" and his recommendation on this website. So far, this website is pretty cool and he mentioned something that this website usually has going all the time called "Game Jams" and this is my first one. If anyone finds this funny or silly, I understand. There's multiple talented folks within this website, as well as just the indie game scene in general, yes I'm aware but still.
