What I like is platforming, it was good. But lack of sound and some bugs are annoying. I think that some music could really make this game much better in a lot of ways. Also I couldn't make it past rope part since game bugged and rope disappear, I also respawned in wall and just died a couple of times by that
Main idea is great, I have good time playing it. Most interesting among all other games for sure, at least for now on. The only couple of things I would change is sound of a jump (since you jump a lot and it starts to annoy me a bit) and inability to move after respawn for half a second or so (whole game is quite fast yet this stop erases the feel of pursuit for your owner). Either way game is definitely in my top 3 from this jam.
I'll start with things that i like. Tiny rat that may fell from graveyard or tree; Sound design; Pixel art is good ngl; Improvements that i think would make this game better: some minigame to dig or chop a tree since just standing nearby is kind of boring for me. And also I would like to see things I found on my character, not only in the top left corner. Anyway game looks good to kill some time.
If you look close on what is written on the pages it becomes reasonable to have such unfair puzzles. The moment this puzzle is on screen - is the moment when child start to blame himself for what’s happening. As far as I can see, this is the most heartbreaking and terrifying thing that could probably happen to any child alive. This was the main point of this puzzle, to show that something truly unchangeable happens in his little heart.
Okay, got you here. I was thinking about it and that sometimes it may be hard to understand which object is collidable. Yet I thought on the other hand that it may look unnatural in child's notebook to have some kind of outlines. Guess the solutions was to make some kind of identification that object can be used in game, but made it on paper. Will think about it, thanks!
What I liked - atmosphere. I think colour range fits perfectly. But there are some things that made me out of this atmosphere. First of all is controls. I need to look for spot to click on to go to direction i want to go to. The other thing is lack of visual representation of what's happening? A lot of text yet lack of visuals.
