Never mind. The earrings were in the mail!

I'm on event 9 for Kate, take her on a date. I click on the door, click on "date", and get the message  about buying earrings. But when I go to Runeymart and try to buy them, I get "you already bought these." If I then go back to the door, the same  thing happens.

I am running version 19.1f

Thanks! Another question, On the stats screen, some girls have a big yellow exclamation mark next to their name (in the overview). What does this mean?

I've been playing for quite a while, and am on nvln19.1;. When I knock on Autumn's door and pick TALK, I get a message that says  *Lin's* relationship isn't high enough.
