I read on the page that you planned on adding objects ! I think it would be great to add novelty, and help when needed. Element resistance sounds dope ! But, the week went by so fast, we had to put aside so things too, it's understandable. Do you plan on adding them later on ?

Aiming has never been my thing haha..

Yeah I saw, I went and checked some of your other projects ! I really liked Color Coded Croaker. But it's cool to try new stuff, too. And I might not have much to compare Insect Reflect to but I thought it was pretty sweet.

My pleasure ! And thank you for playing and reviewing our game ! We really enjoyed it, you brought up really interesting stuff that gave us new ideas to improve the game. It's our first game jam so we were not sure what to expect from this phase, but it's very cool to get feedback :)

Yay ! Thank you so much ! We really enjoyed working on this game so we're trying to see how it can grow, add stuff we did not have time to do during the jam, all that good stuff. Thank you for playing the game and taking the time to review !

There was something quite satisfying about destroying those angry circles !

What an intriguing character this doctor and it's so cool that you did the voicelines ! It really pulled me into the story.

I really like the concept and I would love to play a more fleshed out version of this game. I have an inkling the story would be awesome.  It's creative and eerie, I love it. But I had a hard time with the controls (switching between hands mostly), that made the experience, sadly, less enjoyable.

Oh and the artwork for the doctor looks awesome!

Well I think your efforts are really paying off ! You are a great artist :)

I tried to play again but on a desktop this time, with a proper mouse and all, it changed everything ! I finished the game first try. Honestly, I think it was mainly a skill/equipment issue (playing on a laptop wasn't the smartest idea). Maybe it would have been nice to be able to regain life at some point ? Maybe have something that indicated where Clover was aiming ? Aim seemed to be my main issue, but I'm thinking it might be a me problem. I'm putting questions marks because I'm not too familiar with this genre and I do think having some challenge is good. I don't think the game needs to be easier. Also I thought it was a very nice touch to make the grass catch fire and deal damage, I was afraid the whole room would burst into flame, it pulled me into the world in an exciting way.

Again, great job

I'm so bad at this type of games ! But the art was charming and the music so groovy that I enjoyed myself more than I though I would. I don't think I went far enough to give feedback on the gameplay but I am so fond of Clover that I see myself coming back to this game to get better :)

Also the bug designs were great. Visually it's stunning !

Thanks dude ! I love the idea of jitter frames ! I was really hoping I would have time to do some animations for the game but man the week flew by. I'm very happy you liked my drawings.

For sure some of the first things we're adding is more sounds, a progression system and overall feedback to player inputs (and a little timer). I think we played the mini games so much that timing them became a bit arduous, thanks for the feedback !

So glad you enjoyed it and thank you for taking the time to write a review :)

I love the idea ! You really did a great job at presenting the concepts of the gameplay without needing any words. It felt intuitive yet what a tricky game. I'll need to practice some more...

For real though, this has the potential the become such an atmospheric and challenging game, well done ! (Also I hope you enjoyed the camping trip)

Oh I really liked this very much ! There's nothing like being a cute little ghost stuck in a mirror!

I kind of got lost in maze number 6 and I wished there was some kind of hints, maybe ? But I loved how the ghost moved (the gameplay and the animation), is was really satisfying to float around and solve the maps :)

I had a great time playing this game ! You did this in 12 hours ?

The idea of a character that mirrors all your actions with a delay and helps you solve puzzles is a lot of fun. The levels increase in difficulty nicely, and when it ended I thought "oh already ?". Also the pixel art is nice.

The only thing "negative" I have to say is that using the mouse and the arrows was a bit tricky (on an azerty laptop and being right handed) and I wish there was a key to use the shield instead of right clicking. But like, really good job !
