Question 1

I enjoyed working on the combat system and writing the dialogues. I really love watching the story unfold. When I write my stories, I first create characters in such a way that they drive the plot themselves. You could say that the heroes speak for themselves, and I just document it in the game. I'm not responsible for my characters — they are independent individuals who make choices not by the will of the author, but by their own will and experience.

Out of all the rivals, I love Tsubaki the most. I like Japanese culture, and I'm interested in the Sukeban phenomenon. By the way, voting is currently underway for the best rival between Amy and Hinata — I voted for Amy because I really like her too, and she was a lot of fun to work on.

Although the game's development went quite quickly, the hardest stage was after the release. I had to react quickly to bugs, add new languages, and implement features that players requested. Developing games during release and major updates takes a lot of energy and health, but I really love what I do because I believe games are very important.

Question 2

Yuki is into sports, mainly athletics and boxing. After school, she dreams of building a career in wrestling. She's actually very physically strong, but because of her rage, she becomes very vulnerable in battle — that's why she's so weak in the game and never blocks. I think after losing to Rosa, she would dedicate a lot of time to taming her anger and learning the composure that could help her in battle.

Momo is the class president, and she's also on the student council — Simon is on it too. She's very involved in school life and club schedules. She's interested in exact sciences and is focused on getting into a decent university. She also runs the photo club and keeps an eye on Simon, secretly taking pictures of him. In Arcade Mode, you can see them on the wall — and if the fight with Tsubaki happens before the fight with Momo, there will be a photo on the wall of Rosa fighting Tsubaki.

Tsubaki is the leader of a Sukeban girl gang — I think they've taken over the whole school. All she does is hang out and fight with rivals. I think Tsubaki loves loud music, partying, and the duo Bull Nakano and Dump Matsumoto. It's hard for me to say what her goals in life are — she lives in the moment and doesn't think about the future.

I'd say Amy is the most mysterious of all the rivals. Her father is a very strange person — he owns a beauty salon, he's a dentist, and the number of teeth Amy has is probably connected to his work and most likely isn't natural. She loves fashion and beauty — despite her appearance, she believes that style and a sense of beauty can mask her flaws. She's also the shortest of all the rivals, even though it's not noticeable in the game — but that's the idea. I'd also say she's very lonely because she just transferred to a new school and is afraid to make friends because she considers herself ugly. By the way, I have plans for an ending for her, but I don't know when I'll be able to implement it.

Question 3

Akio is an artistic young man and an incorrigible narcissist. He's stubborn and cruel, and I'd boldly call him one of the most evil characters in the story. He's obsessed with himself, craves recognition, and always gets what he wants. Every victory of his, in anything, is proof of his superiority. He's in the drama club and dreams of becoming a famous actor and starring in movies. I think he might actually succeed, given that he lacks naivety and is willing to walk over people to achieve his goal. He loves art — his interests are cinema, theater, fashion, and literature. He has his own understanding of beauty.

I think Hinata leads a lifestyle that doesn't match how a good schoolgirl should behave. You can find her in the noisiest night districts of the city, in clubs or at parties. She knows how to fight and manipulate people — maybe she was in a gang, maybe she has connections to the yakuza. She sees men as a resource. She doesn't know how to lose and doesn't accept her defeats, considering her losses just a dramatic moment before her victory. After school, she wants to get rich — at any cost.

I don't think there's any point in saying much about Rosa and Simon — there's already plenty written about them in the comic and the game.

I think that, in theory, some characters could be friends. Although all the heroes have complicated personalities in their own way, I can imagine that, for example, Yuki and Momo could be friends with others or with each other — maybe even Amy, although she has complexes about her appearance that would make this process difficult since she tends to withdraw into herself because of it.

The character I least believe would interact with others is Hinata. Out of all the heroes, she's truly evil, mean, and selfish. All the other rivals are much better than her and aren't ready to do the things Hinata is ready to do. Although Hinata is contrasted with Rosa and even compares herself to her, their motivations are very different, as is their concept of honor — this is highlighted in the Creepy Creepy Love ending.

For Tsubaki, interacting with other characters is also unlikely, since she's a gang member — most of her contacts are limited to her gang and fights with rivals. But I can imagine her standing up for someone from her school, because protecting their school is very important for gangs like hers.

Akio is openly sexist, and I find it hard to believe he would communicate with any of the rivals. But I suppose he might have a female friend who admires him, feeding his narcissism.

Question 4

That's possible — I'm currently developing Arcade Mode. And I'm not ruling out that the rivals could become playable characters, and maybe in the future they might even get their own story mode (but that's not certain). I'll be developing the original game for a long time, experimenting with the story, and searching for new ideas and narratives. Maybe a sequel awaits us in the future, but I haven't started working on it yet.

Thank you for being interested in my game. I'm glad you like it. I'll make sure your posts on the subreddit don't get deleted.

P.S

I also want to mention that I'm totally fine with fan creations and the fans' and players' own vision — on the contrary, I'm very happy about it. The game doesn't really have a canon or a canonical ending; its world and story at this stage are flexible and open not only to my imagination but also to the players' imagination. So I don't mind fans reinterpreting the game's characters, and I welcome any original characters created by players.

Hi, sure, go ahead and ask. By the way, I saw your post in the subreddit with the Amy keychain — it's really cute, you shouldn't have deleted it.

It looks amazing! I'm glad you checked out the full version of the game. By the way, who's your favorite character?

Thank you so much! They look very cute, and I love how you've reimagined some of their appearances and costumes. As for the updated version, it includes both new characters and ones from the old version—it's completely fine that you didn't depict them all. Just remember, your efforts are never in vain.

Would you mind if I share your fan art with the fan community? If it's okay, I can credit your social media page along with your other drawings.

Hi! I want to publish my game, made on your engine, this month. This is very important to me; I feel like I've managed to create something incredibly fun. Yesterday, I made a cool, authentic trailer in a 70s style. All that's left is to finish writing the manual and draw the cover art.

Can you tell me if you could help me embed an emulator on the Itch.io page? I'd like players to be able to try my game directly in their browser. Do you know how to do that?

I see you've released a lot of engine updates, which is great news! As soon as I finish my work, I'll start designing (the cover, manual) for the game I made using your engine.

Cool!

Glad to see you're updating the engine. By the way, I made a game on it, but I'll share it a little later.

Thank you so much! It seems I managed to do it—the character now follows the player. I think I’ll slowly learn your engine to make some weird little game in my free time. I believe working on an Atari-style game will help me take a break from my main project, which I’m working on daily to meet the release deadline. So this’ll be my small hobby for the next few weeks.

Hi, is there any possibility in this engine to make player 1 chase player 0? I have some good ideas for the game, but I don't know how to implement them without this feature.

I've been to all the endings.

Hello! The remake features completely different graphics. However, after completing the game once, you can unlock and play the original version with its classic graphics.

What's new in the remake:

  • Expanded storyline with three different endings
  • New rival characters
  • Smoother animations and new special moves for both the rivals and Rosa
  • New gameplay mechanics that go beyond traditional fighting
  • Multiple difficulty modes

The game is currently 30% off on Steam! You can also purchase a special bundle that includes:

  • A comic book revealing Rose Akuma's backstory
  • Original soundtrack featuring alternate versions of tracks plus bonus unused music that didn't appear in the final game.

In the future, I plan to add another (a fourth) ending to the remake.

Hello! You can only click with the mouse on objects with a question mark on them, objects with an exclamation mark and an arrow above them can only be accessed by interacting in the vicinity of the action button.

As soon as we release Creepy Creepy Love we will be back to translate Mind Control. Thank you for your words, we are working very hard on the game!

I would really appreciate it if you would leave your review of the demo on Steam.

Thank you so much for playing the game. I've been working a lot on the combat system, so I'm especially happy to hear that! By the way, in addition to fights in the game will be another gameplay tied to exploration and action. So I assure you that the full version will be able to surprise you more than once.

I'm glad to hear that! Thank you for going through the game! This mini-game is often overlooked by many people. Although it is actually quite an important part of the main plot of the game. In general, the game has a lot of at first glance insignificant details that have a serious impact on the whole story.

Great, I'll be looking forward to the Desktop version!

Hello, are there any plans for an offline version? I'm afraid to bind to the engine, in case it disappears from the network and I will not be able to make a game on atari again.

I hope you enjoy the game!

Valentine's cards from Rosa! Her love is scary!

Hi, can you tell me why you removed the Electric Thunder Tiger II? I really liked this game, I wanted to play it again but it suddenly just disappeared.

I enjoyed your game, it plays very nicely on android. I was impressed by the possibility to play Double Dragon for famous wrestlers, it's very refreshing. I would be very happy if to the roster of characters would be added a few more famous wrestlers. (I might even be able to help you with that if I have some free time.)

By the way, I found your game through a video on youtube.... sometimes youtube offers interesting things.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the game. I've already announced a sequel to Creepy Creepy Love. I think you will like the new game too.

No, but the price will be as affordable as possible in all regions.

Hello, tomorrow I'm going to announce the sequel to Creepy Creepy Love. Don't tell anyone about it  (Just kidding, tell all your friends about it). Thank you for looking forward to the new game.

Hi! Creepy Creepy Love is part of this game and is available in the full version of Mind Control.

Hi, I'm currently making some video games in the horror genre. These games I plan to release this year. All of them are weird and contain a lot of unconventional designs. One of these games is Mind Control a 5 hour demo of which I'm preparing for release now. You can support me on my Boosty (Boosty is the Patreon equivalent). I publish a lot of exclusive content there. Click here ↓↓↓

Hi, the Creepy Creepy Love character's name is Samon. Whereas in my game Mind Control, one of the main characters is named Simon. I got the names mixed up a bit during development... but it's no big deal. After all, according to the Mind Control storyline, the game Creepy Creepy Love was developed by Simon Odley.

Hello, I'm very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the game. As you noticed I really like to draw funny grimaces.

I don't think what Roza did to Hinata can be called self-defense. If you disarm someone with a knife by knocking them out and then stabbing them a hundred times, you can't call that self-defense. If you find yourself in that situation, don't ever do that.)

Thanks for playing the game. As awful as things are in this video game, it's just a video game. I believe that games are designed to give the player a safe experience. With video games, we can touch horrible things in a safe way without having to experience all the real pain and responsibility of our actions.

Glad my game inspires you.

I expect to release Mind Control in August. Until then, I want to release a couple of small games and a demo version of Mind Control. I hope you enjoy my next games as much as Creepy Creepy Love.

Hello, thank you so much for playing my game. I haven't played a lot of old adventure games, but I'm very interested in them. The fact that my game evokes nostalgic feelings in you makes me very happy.

I hope you will enjoy my next game very much too.

Напиши потом как впечатления.

Thank you very much, I'm very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the game. Your review is very inspiring to me.

By the way, Creepy Creepy Love is one of the three arcade minigames that are part of my big Mind Control project. And during its development I decided to separate it from Mind Control to share it with the players and see their reaction before the release of the big game. In fact, the philosophy and design ideas of Creepy Creepy Love overlap a lot with Mind Control. However, my new game has a lot more experimental ideas and complex moral themes. And if you liked Creepy Creepy Love, you will probably find Mind Control very interesting as well.

Thank you again for playing my game.

Thank you I cried too... but mostly when I was making the game.

I am pleased to hear that. Play it. It does not last more than one hour.

Rpg Maker.

Спасибо за интересный опыт.

Постараюсь оказать вашей игре какую-никакую информационную поддержку.

Cool art.  ( ˙▿˙ )
