Hey, if you haven't found a team yet, I'm reaching out to other designers and animators to try to form one. I'm a beginning UE5 developer. I'd be interested in creating something with a kind of creepy/horror vibe for the jam if it fits the theme. Your Evil's Turn track definitely gives me some inspiration. I also quite like your choices and diversity of instrumentation in your tracks. Do you do audio design for sound effects as well or do you mainly focus on composing music?

If you've already teamed up or you're only looking for teams that are already more complete, please consider adding me anyway. I'm a long ways from where I need to be to solo dev the kind of games I'd like to make, but I'm a huge EDM stan. I have this idea for a future project--a linear sports action-rpg game I've been rolling around in my head for years--and it would heavily rely on EDM music and rave aesthetics.  If it doesn't work out for this Game Jam, you might be just the collaborator I'd need down the road!

Hey, I'm Ryan. Firstly...that Turboman on your profile is seriously awesome. You're very talented.  If you haven't found a team yet, I'm reaching out to other UE5 designers and Sound Designer/Composers to form one. I'd love to have someone with your talent on to help with the art direction and building some assets/animations. I'd be interested in creating something with a kind of creepy/horror vibe for the jam if it fits the theme, but not married to the idea.

Hey, I'm Ryan. I've also been studying Unreal with c++/blueprints and some Unity for a couple years. Definitely more comfortable with UE5 and C++. I haven't made any self-led projects before--only the few instructor-led ones in the GameDev.tv classes--but I'm very confident in my grasp of the material so far. I also know a bit of blender and could help create some assets. I have some creative writing background too and could help form the story and themes.

The games you've made look very interesting, particularly El-Silbon. I'd love to make a game with a kind of creepy-horror vibe if it fits the theme of the game jam. Let me know if you're interested in teaming up! There's lots of very talented Sound Design/Music composers with posts looking for teams, and we could add another who's more specialized in art and animation?

You can add me on discord (SaltySpitoonCEO) if you'd like: https://discord.gg/HK68dtdy

I'm an IT expert who has been looking to break into the world of game development. I have completed courses in Blender, Unity, and most recently the C++ Unreal Engine 5 GameDev course (also a lot of prior programming, coding, and algorithmic thinking courses that aren't entirely irrelevant to game design). I've been going about this with the mindset that I'd like to develop my own eventual magnum opus of a game either solo or working with a small team. I'm eager to learn it all, from the writing, modeling and rigging, programming, music and sound design, and eventually marketing.

I would consider myself to be a newbie/beginner at all of this, and I've never participated in a Game Jam before and I'm looking for advice. Is it better to match yourself with other newbies to avoid getting overwhelmed? Or is it better to try to match with more experience developers who have a better feel for the process? I think if I could create a dream scenario, it would be an experienced leader delegating work to newbies like myself.

Anyone have thoughts on this? I imagine I'm not the only one considering these questions. Anyway, regardless of your team's make-up, hit me up if you're interested in adding a UE5 programmer to your team! Or if you need someone to do modeling and rigging, I can brush up on those skills.

Thanks and good luck!
