okay for some reason i can pause with esc even though i couldnt earlier

i accidentally tried remapping the pause but it doesn't let me set it back to esc nor enter, which was the default, and i cant find any reset button(i tried resetting my savedata but it didnt work either) is there a way to reset controls or am i just cooked
