I fixed it. I moved the game from a hdd to an ssd and it works now. Why this would need to be run on an ssd is beyond me, but it works now. 

I tried that and it didn't work. 

So I downloaded the game & music, extracted both to the same directory. I'm running Windows 11 64-bit. When I start the game, it freezes at the start screen. I have tried running it in administrator mode, different compatibility options, but nothing works.
