Not in this specific instance- did you have any suggestions? Always happy to hear feedback!

Thanks, I really appreciate it! I originally started with clicking X to flip through them, but after I skipped the follower I needed for the nth time I tried out something that let you flip through them with both directions- I do agree it is a little clunky though. Pico-8 is quite limited with its input, but I think the most intuitive scheme would have been WASD to look around, mouse scroller to scroll through followers and left click to sacrifice. Anyways- thanks again!
Love the music, was able to use it in an entry that won trijam https://itch.io/jam/trijam-329/rate/3698495 as well as another game of mine!
Thanks! It's more inspired by cellular automata than a direct implementation. I treat the world as a pixel grid with gravity, and water as a single pixel particle. Each frame, particles check if they can move down, or sideways if blocked, and otherwise stay put. Pretty simple, but it holds up well enough on Pico-8 if you keep particle counts under control.
Thanks for the feedback! I was able to release a new version of the game today following the jam. It should address most of these issues, including the level 10 and 11 locks, no more enemies spawn when a boss is present, and a rapid fire upgrade for more variety and to make things more manageable. If you have any more feedback would love to hear it!
