This is genuinely great. It gets all the PS1 stylistic beats right, it's very funny, and I'm so so happy for controller support, even in the demo! 

Feels like playing a lost, jingoistic Resident Evil, and that's maybe the highest praise I can give it. Can't wait for the full game.

Really sad to hear you went through that. I find your work really inspirational, and while I'm happy the game is still in development, I also hope you take time for yourself as well.
