I saw Felix repost you about this today, and hurried over. It sounds super interesting! I look forward to diving into it. (I'm also very excited about a solo play version, btw!)

I got this as part of TTRPGS For Trans Rights—Idaho. I hadn't been familiar with it before, but it's exciting for me to see as I used to write a comic series called Witch Doctor (Image Comics) about a doctor/mage who treated supernatural diseases. Our last issue came out in 2013, and since then it's been really neat to see other people come up with similar (but different!) ideas! I sort of consider projects like this to be Witch Doctor's distant cousins. :D Anyway, very excited to dive into this!

This reminded me of the Do you wanna play mermaids? posts. Which always delight me when I see them. So I bought it. :)

This is one of those games that *really* stuck with me.

I've been dealing with a lot of dissociation and depersonalization the last couple weeks. Not the heaviness of depression, but kind of the opposite? Just feeling like eggshell and sawdust, the wires working my limbs more apparent than usual. When I was describing how I felt to my best friend I pulled out the text from the beginning of the game and read it verbatim. (My best friend knows me well enough — and knows how transitory my mood states can be, and how safe even the bad ones are — that her reaction was "oh, that's interesting!" instead of "oh, dear god!!") Anyway, it was both a useful way of communicating a peculiar mental state and an "I feel seen" moment, and it's got me wanting to play the game again — probably with the sequel this time!

(Also FYI, this page doesn't seem to link to the sequel, and I think it totally should so people know it's a diptych! I also love Recover.)

So, so, SO GOOD. My god.

This is flat-out amazing. Very excited for the Kickstarter. Plugging it elsewhere!

I thought you'd like to hear: I told Erin Morgenstern about this on Bluesky, and she checked it out. Here's what she said about it.     :D

This was one of my favorite parts of KR0. It was an amazing experience when I first realized I could rotate my POV... and discovered that I was watching a play.

The download link still isn't working for me at this point either.

The first time I tried calling the hotline to show a friend and got an error message, I was stunned and heartbroken. VERY glad to hear that the line is back, in some capacity! I used to call it on breaks from a crappy job, to calm down a bit and experience a different world

THANK YOU.
