The retro art style was really cool! I thought about using pico 8 because it seems like a cute game engine

Definite 5/5 for the art! The shifting rooms added a really cool touch to the game too

Yeah I did struggle a bit coming up with ideas for levels that could allow for multiple abilities to be used but prevent others from being used. I have a feeling it stems from the fact that some of the abilities are just quite similar, such as jump and grow doing quite similar things and dash and glide as you said

Thanks! I enjoyed it because, once I had the core stuff all done, it was fairly easy to just add as many abilities as I had time for

This game is so cool! I didn't look at the controls at first so I was so confused at the third level and then I was shocked that I could go into 3D!!! I like the eye following your direction and I like the simple square as the player. The 3D feature was super well done

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'll give your game a try for sure. I did think about doing a tutorial level for all of the abilities but I sadly didn't think I'd have enough time :(

I like this idea of going into dreams. I think the dodging punches dream was a bit tedious but that's just a small thing

The diving and shooting reminds me of dave the diver! I like the visuals

I liked the design of the game! It might've been cool to do more with the fact that it's underwater, like floatier gravity or something? Not the best example but hopefully you get the idea

Cool idea with the gravity swapping. I did end up falling infinitely into the sky on one of the levels so it might've been good to have something to stop that happening

Here's my game! The art isn't nearly as good as yours but I hope you enjoy nonetheless!

The art in this game is so good! I need to learn to draw this well

Very cozy feeling game. Would love a gamemode without the puzzle aspect. Just placing items as you wish to decorate a room.

Lots of people have mentioned the difficulty! I guess I didn't realise because I kept practising whilst testing but it's a lesson learnt for the future for sure!

Yeah there's definitely been a few people saying that it was a bit unforgiving! Maybe I should've got a friend to test before submitting

It is a little bit difficult so maybe quite frequent checkpoints would be good! Also the player felt very slippery which added to the difficulty for sure

Great visuals! I agree with some of the other people that the game is a bit difficult sometimes I'd have no place to go in the world I'm in, so I'd switch but still be left with no place to go. Great game though especially for it being your first time!

Loved the audio for sure. Could've done with a few more upgrades as I ran out of upgrades very quickly

This is very well done for the time we had! My mouse was a bit buggy at times but luckily I have touchscreen on my laptop that allowed me to still click on things. Not sure if that's just a problem on my end but it seems likely given that nobody else has mentioned it!

Would love a tutorial on how to make this game

I'm not sure if there actually was something after me but I definitely didn't stick around long enough to find out! I was straight out of that tunnel in no time

I love the artwork of this game. I felt a bit bad spilling drinks all over customers as they poured their hearts out to me...

I like the idea of being within a CPU. I do agree with the other comment that the gameplay is a bit repetitive though. Also, did you mean to put that almost all of your assets and code were not made from scratch?

I like the idea of switching the time. The graphics etc could use a bit of work and I did discover that if I change to day/night whilst inside a block, it wouldn't kill me. Not sure if that was intentional or not but I thought I'd mention it

I liked this game a lot! The size of the window was a bit too big for my screen but I was able to just scroll back and forth a bit and to be honest it might've just been me doing something wrong

This was a really cool idea for a game! Reminded me a lot of blue prince but I liked the added combat elements.

I liked the grainy textures and the music. I especially liked the guitar music that plays at the start!

I'll be playing a few games for the next couple hours so drop yours and I'll try to give it a go!

This is my first game jam and the first full game I've made so I'd love some feedback too if anyone would be willing

Thanks :)

Here's my game! It's the first game jam I've done so I sort of learned everything I've done. I'd love some tips on how I can improve!

I like the art style! I also liked the swinging animation of the sword a lot!

Here's a link to my game! It's my first game jam and my first game so I'd love some feedback! I'll give your game a try too :)

I really liked the music and the visuals, and the gameplay was very satisfying and well thought out!

I had a few more ideas for abilities but I didn't have the time (or ability to be honest) to add them. Maybe I'll work on this game after the jam to help improve my skills!

Thanks for the tips! I did want to add a tutorial level to teach the abilities but I'd been working on the for a long time and I thought it might take a while to add. Also with it being my first game jam I wanted to allow plenty of time before the deadline. The ability selection is gambling to a certain level but you are guaranteed to get an ability that will work for each level

It was the one with the leaves with letters on them. Definitely not a glitch! I just wasn't smart enough to figure out what words I was supposed to be making

This is such a beautiful game! I got stuck on one of the levels so would have appreciated some sort of hints but that's probably just a skill issue from me...

i really like this idea and i love the art! i was only able to find a few words but i think with a bit more time to be completed, this game could be even better.

I was sort of trying to go for a roguelike type thing where you go through each level and learn which ability to use. But yeah it is a bit unfair to restart from the beginning especially if you've chosen the correct ability

i liked the movement and visuals a lot!

i loved the visuals of your game!
