For a first attempt at game development, this isn't half bad! Although the art is pretty rough around the edges, I do quite like the aesthetic, it's nothing if not cohesive. Of course, some sprites had issues with existing in squares rather than being transparent, but that's something that could easily be cleaned up. I was a little confused on how to play at first, but I got there eventually through experimentation. I think some music and sound would go a long way

I quite enjoyed this experience! The art was particularly charming, and I think that that especially helped when it came to the little information booklet mechanic, because it incentivizes the player to want to check it to see the new art whenever they unlock new information. I will say, though, the difficulty was a little rough. I would've loved the ability to climb up walls along with the existing mechanic of being able to slide down, and the hitboxes on the spikes and fire felt a little unforgiving
