Another fun experience, great job Niven! Tense but interesting, short enough to easily replay, and a little bit of humor thrown in too. Glad to see you're continuing to expand what you're trying to make. Keep it up, you've given me a huge backlog to try out!

Phenomenal job with this one! This nailed the tension and atmosphere, I loved being able to turn off the bodycam effect, the NPCs were each worth talking to but didn't take up too much of the players time, and I spent the finale at the edge of my seat. Knocked it out of the park with this game, can't wait to see what you do next.
Keep up the amazing work!

Loved every second of this. Amazing tension and atmosphere, a very nice use of low poly without that PSX filter or VHS effect wrecking it, you had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Only real feedback I have: at a certain point, I clipped through a door underground and fell through the world; easy fix with hitboxes. As well, the flashlight might benefit from a little widening. That, or maybe giving the light some reflection/glow around the edges to help. It's pretty dark otherwise.
Can't wait to see what you do next, you have a real knack for horror games. 9.5/10, you've earned it!
This was surprisingly fun! There's a nice variety to the enemies, it's short enough to be fun without being aggravating, and it has a solid atmosphere.
There's a couple of things I'd look at for QoL updates and general bugfixes.
- The player getting stuck on things while moving, or getting wedged into walls if you sprint so you have to jump to escape, is really frustrating in some sections.
- In the mining site with the blue enemy, I somehow broke the game and the escape door collapsed with me on the wrong side of the fence.
- If you hit "Continue Game", it clears your to-do checklist.
All of these are pretty minor issues (mostly), but overall this was a ton of fun. Great job, keep it up, and I can't wait to see what you make next!
Nice job! Short, sweet, to the point, good atmosphere and some nice spooks.
The only real "complaint" I think anyone could make is that the intro is maybe like...a minute too long, which feels really petty for a game that's 10 minutes, so not really worth noting. That and the audio cues for the...."events", let's say, are a bit loud.
Nice work, keep it up, and can't wait to check out some of your other games!
Nice work on this one! Short, spooky, and pretty fun to go through.
Only feedback I have: It feels like once the monster sees you, it's basically impossible to escape unless you bug out the AI. Not a huge problem since Retry keeps your progress, but it did disincentivize running.
I'd also really like a toggle to turn off the PSX filter; personal taste but I feel like it mostly makes games hard to look at and play. That's just my own taste though, didn't really affect my overall enjoyment of the game.
Keep up the great work and can't wait to see what you make next!
Nice work! It was fun, short, but basically exactly what I expect from an indie horror game. You did a great job here.
The only real thing I have to comment on: the light being from the flashlight object itself means you often can't really see stuff up close. It might be better to cast the light from the player camera, just for gameplay purposes.
But I had a lot of fun with it besides that, and I think you have a real knack for making games! Great job!
This was pretty damn fun! I liked the atmosphere, the simple core gameplay loop, and the jokes themselves were the best form of humor: puns!
A couple of things I'd like to see in terms of QoL stuff for future game proejcts, if you stick with these types of games.
I'd love to have a stamina bar to show how close the player is to being out of breath, it's a little tough to keep track of. I'd also love a checkpoint maybe halfway through, just to save time on replay if you get killed or get stuck in the level! The level has a few points where the player can be stuck in the world, and I had to reload to get free. Not a huge problem.
For a game jam game, this was excellent and you should be extremely proud of how you did. Amazing work, keep it up, and I can't wait to see what you make next!
This was pretty fun! Spooky, a little unnerving and just the right length for small scale indie horror. It might be worth adding some sort of small particle effect to item pick ups to help make them more visible, but that's a fairly small nitpick.
Great work and keep it up, you have a good understanding of what makes horror work!
Nice job on this one! It was spooky, kept me on edge for a good chunk and it was just long enough to get some good scares in without being too tedious.
I only have a tiny bit of actual feedback for the game, because it was mostly well done as it is. A little more clarity on where things are (keys on shelves, for example) would be nice, since the horror engine assets don't like to stand out much. As well, some of the...sillier jumpscares, like the monster zooming across the floor, kind of take the player out of it a bit. I'd remove the really in-your-face stuff for some of the other, better spooks we see in the game, and you have a really solid foundation!
Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see the full game!
You know what, I walked into this not expecting much of anything at all, and I left extremely satisfied with the game. This is an excellent core gameplay loop with a fun little story, it doesn't have the insanely surreal feel of past games, and I really want to know more about the town of Fairview.
Great job on this one and keep it up!
This was a lot of fun! It's a slow burn, but you lay a really solid groundwork for a great future game here. I'm hoping that you're able to tweak a few of the little things you mentioned being a hassle and get the right balance of horror and story working out! Can't wait to play the full release, I loved the little exploration mechanics.
This was pretty fun! I was on edge and a bit anxious the whole time, waiting for what would happen.
If I had to give any critical feedback, I do think that middle jumpscare kind of detracted a bit from the horror and tension. A more slow build up the whole time works great to build tension.
Keep up the great work, I had a blast and can't wait to see what you do next!
This was pretty fun! Nice atmosphere, a good game length, and I loved the option to swap between cameras.
Only things I'd like to see maybe adjusted would be making headbob less aggressive in first person, and some audio rebalancing at the big scare. With how quiet the NPCs are and the game overall, it definitely was a bit loud.
Keep up the great work though, can't wait to see what you do next!
Great work! Loved the short and to the point nature, the little maze, the creepy atmosphere without being too over the top with jumpscares or scripted events.
Only request: when the game ends, can you try to loop players to the main menu in the future? I had to restart the game to get back to it to talk about the ending; minor thing but helps a lot.
Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what you do next!
Fun game! It has some nice atmosphere, was interesting to explore around. The voice acting was largely well done, there was a healthy amount of scare factor without being excessive. I was on the edge of my seat in a few sections, waiting for something to come screaming out of the woods at me.
A couple of minor bugs were found involving the note pickups, and I personally am not crazy about the random pop in monster stuff, but that's pretty much all just my own take, not a negative to the game!
Great job on this one, really happy to see it come out and I'm pumped for the next game you make!
