Thanks for checking in and for the suggestion! Development's still agonisingly slow and there's currently still no new build we're happy to submit publicly right now, since our coder, Bun, is continuingly dealing with life stuff at the moment and hasn't had the time to further progress I'm sorry to say. 

We really did aim for a new build to be ready for this year's TF Game Jam, but unfortunately with how things worked out that won't be happening sadly.

As I've said in previous comment replies, unfortunately the version which is currently available is a proof of concept only. Everything you see in this version is very outdated now, but there's been no new playable builds I've been willing to release just yet. Currently stuck waiting for some code to be whipped up, and then the next demo can release ^^

Sorry for the late reply. I still have no concrete date to give, as development has slowed quite a bit on this last hurdle we had to tackle. All of us on development have been quite busy, and our only programmer is going through some irl troubles at the moment. 


On a good news side of things though: Art is still relatively unaffected and HUD icons are still being masterfully crafted by Blunkinator while Usedusername smashed out all endings we needed from them so far so they're all caught up on their workload.


I'm really excited to see this through to the end despite difficulties, and I hope to see everyone at the final release too! Thanks for your patience ^^

The most likely way, and probably the way I will be implementing it, is having full or near-full Donkey-Brained players have the option to try and infect other Humans, with choices that fight the desire to do so becoming less available the higher DB level you are. Nine times out of ten, this would probably lead to a specific ending associated with the location and character, but ideally (and unlikely to be put into the game) this could lead to a branching story path where Amanda leads a herd of Donks throughout the facility, reigning havoc on any Humans in her way. Furthermore, an ideal version of that is being able to freely travel across the facility in gameplay, hunting down Humans in control of Amanda, a semi-failure of this could very well be a unique ending where Amanda could lack the Infection levels to be recognised by the other Donks and be dulled into the masses. 

If it's obvious by my brainstorming, nothing is concrete for the story (and never has been :p) I just write in the moment and see where it leads, then go back to it later. So, TL;DR: I could very much add a sequence of events where Amanda goes Donko-mode and infects others, but we'll have to wait and see ^^"

If I find a good way to implement it into Chapter 2, definitely! I'd love to have a playable Donk route, but it will be difficult to add. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it's something viable in future ^^

You my friend are psychic lol. We are actually really close now, just waiting on the Cafeteria section to be all written up and our new programmer to whip everything up into shape. After that's all done, Chapter 1 will then be about 75% complete. Although, we're releasing it to Patreon backers first and when Chapter 1 is 100% complete, it goes public for free.

If all goes well, I'd say expect an updated game build on Patreon between now and three months at latest. Next public update not super long afterwards!

Thanks for the concerns and I really appreciate the support! I'll take that into account over the next month or so and try to keep the page somewhat active, tbh I don't use itch.io enough to remind myself to do it ~w~

Absolutely, there's now additional writers helping me speed up development! Updates are all being made over on my Discord ^^
New itch.io Chapter 1 update will be coming out soon-ish, with a Patreon demo near enough ready to be released in a few weeks time hopefully!

Sorry if things weren't clear enough, the version currently released, which you're playing, is only a small tech demo to just show how the game will look and play. This version, as you said, has pretty much no content at all, because the project's still a work in progress with tons of unfinished content planned and underway work. When this game's version number updates from (V0.0.3), that's when there's a new update.

It would make a really fun scenario where post-ending you'd be able to play as a feral Donk, scouring the facility for anymore survivors to transform, but with the scope of the game in its current form, it'd just be waaay too much to implement sadly.  Though do note that you can be both 10 Infection and 10 Donkey-Brain and still progress through the game, battling your Donk-thoughts and desires in vein attempt at remaining Human mentally, whereas your body is already turned past the point of return.

However, maybe in the next game (or DLC) it'll be more Donk-focused ;3

Yep. They're only teased there because that's all the artworks Usedusername has done so far. They're in the files waiting for development to reach the gameplay areas tied to them, where they can be accessed and achieved.
