You're the best!! Thank you!

I can't wait! I adore the first game ! <3 Could you please post the R18 patch here on Itch.io again once Re:Union gets released on Steam (for the people who can't download it from Steam due to their countries' restrictions)?

Is there possibly something wrong with the demo download files? When I try to install the demo it does not let me select any of the 3 systems (I'm on Windows) and I get an error message that reads 'Cannot read property build of undefined'.

Edit: Nevermind, downloading it via the website worked. Loved the demo! <3

A short, sweet game, I really enjoyed it. The characters are adorable and the art is super cute! <3

Amazing, thank you so much! Also, I really appreciate you including a steam key as well. Looking forward to playing the game! <3

Is there any way for people in Germany to buy a steam key for the prequel from you? I would really love to play it, but Germans are blocked from accessing the shop page on Steam. :-(

Thank you for the tip! I wasn't sure if a Steam key would work or if it would also be affected by the geolock. It's good to know that it works! I'll save myself the hassle with Steam and just buy my VNs through itch.io in the future. :)

I managed to fix it!! I had to disable Ren'Py's OpenGL support, which is done by holding down shift while starting the game. I was then able to force the game to use a different software renderer from the available options and now the backgrounds and CGs look as they should both in-game and in the gallery. I am SO relieved. Hopefully I can finally enjoy the game now, lol.

I would appreciate it! Any idea what else I could try? It's like all the backgrounds and CGs are split up into 3 misaligned segments. :(

I never had any issues with Ren'py games before. This error occurred right from the start and also affects the gallery btw. The strange thing is that the thumbnails look fine, but opening an image results in the above bug, which is also present in-game.

That's what I did, thank you! However, I have another issue now. I just started playing the game, but the backgrounds and CGs are mismatched, i.e. the upper and lower halves are skewed and not properly alligned.  I tried re-installing the game, playing in windowed mode, adding and removing the patch, and changing my computer's resolution, but nothing worked. I am going to try and add a screenshot to this post to show you what I mean. I'm playing on Windows.

Could you please let me know how to resolve this?

It worked!!! I was able to buy the game on Steam now. Thank you so, so, so much. <3

I don't know. It might be worth a try if you still have the patience for it. Again, sorry for putting you through all of this!

Sadly, it doesn't. :( Thank you so much for trying, though! I still think it might be related to the bundle somehow. When I do a search on Steam for the game it displays the price of the soundtrack and guide bundle (6.46 €) for the actual game in the search window and only on the sales page it shows the right price (17.99 for the game, 22.65 for the game/ost/guide bundle - again, I would not be seeing this at all if the game were banned). It's just such a shame that Steam keeps making things so difficult in my country. I might just go ahead and buy the game on itch.io. Sorry for all the hassle!

Could it be related to the bundle sale somehow? The store page tells me the base game is 17.99 € (if the game were truly banned here, I would not even be able to access the store page). However, the bundle deal on the same store page says that 2 components of the bundle (the main game and the patch) are blocked and I can only see the soundtrack and the guide, both of which I can add to my shopping cart and proceed to check-out just fine. Perhaps it's the inclusion of the blocked patch in the bundle that somehow prevents people in Germany from buying just the sfw base game? Just an idea. Again, I appreciate your help. :)

Thank you for looking into this! It would really suck if the sfw version were banned in Germany, there's no reason for it I can think of and unlike other banned games I can access the sales page and view the price, but not proceed to check-out. This has never happened before. Also, the sfw version of Synthetic  Lover is still available on Steam and I can put it in my shopping basket and proceed to check-out with my cart showing the correct price (not 0.00 € like it does for The Symbiant). It would be awesome if you could try to get to the bottom of this.

It's just endlessly frustrating to be a fan of visual novels living in Germany in this day and age. :( I am so grateful you sell your games through itch.io as well.

Thank you so much!! But there still seems to be an issue with the sfw Steam version, I was now able to access the store page and I can see the price of the game, but when I try to put it in my basket it says 0.00 € and does not let me complete check-out. Others have the same issue, there's a thread on Steam. Do you have any idea how to resolve this?

Hi! Unfortunately, Steam does not let me buy the sfw version of the game there. I am located in Germany, unfortunately, so I cannot access the adult patch in the Steam store, but I should theoretically be able to buy the sfw version from them as only adult content gets blocked in my country, i.e. the optional patch.  However, I am unable to access the store page of the sfw version on Steam.

Is there any way to buy the sfw version on Steam and get the adult patch from here (as mentioned by you further down in the comment section)? I was able to buy the sfw version of Synthetic Lover on Steam and install the adult patch from itch.io without issue.

Would I be able to activate the Steam key that comes with a purchase of the game on itch.io?

It worked! Thank you so, so, so much. You are the best. <3 I might need to reach out to you again about the other DLCs once they get released.

I was gifted this game on Steam and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately, it is blocked in my country due to Steam's age verification system not meeting the requirements of German law (it is NOT illegal, they just don't want to risk minors getting their hands on adult games, so their solution was to block these games for adult players as well, I am sure you heard about it). I can play it just fine, but I cannot access the store page (which is why I had it gifted to me, I did pay for the game, I just asked a friend from abroad to buy it for me). So, I am unable to go to the  Steam store and download the DLC and I was hoping that I could get it from here? I already have the main game, I'd just like to get the DLC as well, but on itch.io it doesn't seem to be available separately. Is there any way to get just the DLC? I'd be very sad to miss out on Rin-Timber's perspective. :(
