Custom wordlists is an awesome idea! I'll think about how that could work and see if that could make it into a future update!

Sorry for the late reply - The NYT started a new format for how they host the words-of-the-day, and I haven't yet gotten around to consuming it and packaging it in-app. I'm also not sure how far in the future the words are set at the moment. 

This app is still using the Wordlist from before the format change, ~May 9, 2022.

I figured I'd leave Mac/Windows on there in case someone wanted to play this on their computer via the simulator. I'm not sure anyone would, but its technically possible!

A Shuffle mode is a great idea! I will add that in alongside the Archive mode.

I believe I have this fixed in 0.8.1 . Thanks for bringing this up! Happy to address any other feedback you have. And thank you for saying this has replaced Wordle on your phone! That is a huge compliment to hear :D

Shoot, that’s definitely an oversight on my part. Those settings aren’t being saved at all. I’ll try to push out a quick update for that. Thanks for the tip!

The full wordlist for the original Wordle and NYT verson is available in those webpages' source code - anyone can view it with the "View Source" option from your browser!

An alphabetical keyboard option has been added in 0.8.0, alongside some other improvements!

You will still have to side load the new file - the system and side load webpage will recognize it as an update to the current game then. 

As far as I know there is not yet a way to trigger an automatic update to everyone who has ever downloaded a version of a 3rd party game like this.

The shading on misplaced letters has been adjusted to hopefully be clearer!

Changing the keyboard to eliminate/indicate guesses is definitely on my list of things to do next.

I appreciate that you think the shading on misplaced letters isn't clear enough, I can totally try to make that a little better. I was trying to balance something simple to implement that also didn't interfere too much with the drawn letter in the box; making it better is worth additional complexity for sure now!
