Just a small platformer.

I wasn't able to spend as much time as I wanted on this. I never got to the audio and don't have the time now. I'm still submitting it because it's what I got and made. I learned a lot from this project as well! Thank you everyone who started the game jam and everyone in it.

Oh thank you! I have a quick question if you don't mind. I made put Unity on the questionnaire, is there a way for me to change it? Sorry about that.

Edit: Never mind I submitted a second one! Please ignore the first one, and sorry again.

Hi, I'm Jay! I'm a 18 year old high school student who is currently learning how to code. I've learned Python in school and am learning C++ and Unreal on Udemy. I've never participated in a jam, but I have been watching videos on them and wanted to try at least one this summer.

I can't really pick a favorite game, but some games I've been playing recently are Crosscode (now one of my favorite games) and Deadcells. Zelda BOTW is also another one of my favorites! If I was to say what genres were my favorite, I would say jrpg's, fighting games, some FPS's, and sandboxes games (I still play minecraft and Hytale looks great), and music based games! A passion of mine is making music, so I'm wondering if I sound make a song for this jam game.

For game development, I inexperienced, but wouldn't be the first game prototype I make. I made a small platformer using Pygame for my AP CSP exam.
For engines I know how to use I'm currently learning Unreal, and I kinda know how to use Pygame, but that is NOT a engine.

My goal for this game jam is to learn more about game development and learn how to use Pygame or Unreal better.

For anyone contemplating if you should do this game jam or not, if you want to learn how to make games, this is a good place to start. It is a game jam meant for beginners like us! Don't be afraid to fail because failer is one of if not the best teacher.
