There are over twenty different endings in the game, most are 'game over' variants based on which creature is able to 'defeat' Bojac.

You will only be able to obtain said endings if you select the Debased or Lower option at the start of the game.

There are also endings for each of the romanceable characters.

The main ending has a variation depending on if you have finished paying off your brother's debt to City Hall.

Because you have limited health, you will need to bolster yourself in order to survive. You can do this in two main ways, the first is buying 'armor' at the Second Hand Mart which will lower enemy damage if they hit you. The second is to train with Qiang at the Second Hand Mart, he will increase your Max Health by 25 points for four levels. You can also randomly find prize wheel tickets throughout your journey which will allow you to spin a wheel at the Grand Entertainment Hall in order to receive an potion which can be used to increase either your Max Health or Max Aether.

Your aether, which will be needed to utilize and ability called Cat's Eye, which helps you see the world more clearly, can be increased by training with Mistress Whyte or by becoming more enthralled to Yada's whims.

In each of the five main areas of the city you can find one character to 'romance' by way of growing closer to them with daily actions.

These include:

Pastor Joshua at the church, a bit of a pervert who looks after his flock with a predatory eye.

Benedetto, the son of the mafia boss at the Grand Entertainment hall. He's looking for someone to become the next champion of the underground fights.

Quetz, the heir to the Crimson Club. He sells drinks in order to help the business, but also hides a secret from the rest of the world.

Kristopher, the synth bodyguard to the information dealer who gets you started in all of this. He seems to have a keen interest in you for some unknown reason.

Yada, a demon who you can release from his imprisonment within the main mansion, however, doing so will cause you to become very...enticing to the various creatures, human and not, that you encounter within the stories' various dungeons.

Robin, a human turned mutant that needs some place to hide from the world following his transformation.

All of the characters will have intimate scenes, and endings if you can max out their interest in you.

There are four main skills:

Your ability to fight off enemies: These skills can be built up by training at the Grand Entertainment Hall with an NPC named Tallawah.

Your perception ability, which will allow you see better items while out on a job, and identity certain items found: This skill can be enhanced at the City Hall with an NPC named Erica.

Your arcane ability, which is used to see spirits and other creatures, and to transmute certain items into others to sell: This skill can be bolstered at the Crimson Scale Club with an NPC named Mistress Whyte.

Your lockpicking ability, which will be needed to unlock various doors and chests: This skill can be mastered with an NPC at the church named Jade.

You can also increase your Max Health, which will help you survive various assaults by enemies by training with an NPC named Qiang at the Second Hand Mart.

In between each chapter of the story you will be able to spend time earning money, or otherwise getting into mischief.

These ways include:

Finding a part-time job at the City Hall.

Building skills with various individuals scattered throughout the five main areas of the city.

Fighting within the Grand Entertainment Hall.

Or otherwise sleeping.

Use what time you have wisely because the story will move forward at a rather brisk pace.
