It took 8 month from version 6 to 7; and 9 months to go from version 7 to 8.   Give it time, I'm waiting for the update too. 

I don't think so.  I asked the same question a while back and all my answers back were saying that I had to install the entire game all over again.  Now if you did save any of the games, be sure to copy your old "saves" folder and install it on the new update at "eternum/game/saves" and all your games you saved will carry on to the next version.  After than, you can delete the old eternum version if you wish.

Is there a way to upgrade from 0.7, or do I have to download the entire 0.8 file?  (PC Version using windows 10)

Press the letter x on your keyboard.  You will see the menu pop up.  From there, you can save your game plus a whole lot more.  Press any key after that to return to the game.
