My word I just realized that I was on .2.1.1b. This is why you always check your version number people. I'm very dumb.

See that's weird because I've already talked to the reporter several times. And this save file doesn't include any interaction with v1. I haven't opened v1 since the update. Unless the reporter sets the flags every time I talk to her I'm not sure what to do. 

I was playing the game normally and reached the part after beating Roxanne. I went to Viridian Forest and got Drowzee. Afterwards, I went to Diglett's Cave and caught Misdreavus. I then went to go to Mt. Moon and the two team rocket grunts are still blocking the path, and going to Viridian Forest again has a bunch of Rocket NPCs in it I've already beaten including Ariana who I can't interact with at all. I've had this occur multiple times since I downloaded the update. Changing things around still leads me to the same end. Blocked path, dead Ariana, and nowhere to go. I've caught Misdreavus before Drowzee once, I've avoided Viridian Forest until I was ready to move to mount moon but every time I reset to avoid the bug it happens over and over.

Is it possible to get a listed order of events in its intended order so that I can try to avoid this weird bug? This has happened four times now and  I don't know what to do about this.
