Alright, yeah, level 8 is the only one with a saw on the ceiling. You might have had trouble finding it since I actually changed level 8 in an update to not require the super precise timing, which was done after your initial comment.

Yeah, I tried to avoid segments which required too much skill to get through since its a puzzle game. Was this the last bit of level 8 where it happened?

Yeah, I was SUPER surprised when I seen the results, I actually thought there was something wrong with how the page loaded or something.. And yes! Jam ratings are not everything at all! Someone on the jam's discord said once your in the top 100 or so, there is very much an element of luck with just not getting review bombed for example, which I completely agreed with. No hate to either of your opinions!

100% correct. Itch's voting system seems like it could be improved for sure.. I was a bit worried about this stuff myself during the voting period. Also, I do entirely respect your opinion on my game! The general idea was not super creative, there were a few other games with quite similar mechanics.. but I tried to make up for that with my characters and level design and such, which clearly some people agreed with! I do believe some of my winning was up to pure luck, since I clearly never had any review bombers, which I know bc there were actually no 1 star reviews at all (which is insane to me too).

HEY! I KNOW THAT ONE!

And thank you so so much! You were so supportive throughout the jam :)

I quite enjoyed this one! The only issue I had was that the arena felt a bit too small. The art, and especially music were wonderful too!

This was good! I was playing for a bit.. then I accidentally CTRL + W closed the window because of the keybinds on browser.. surprised I got that far before hitting those at the same time actually, though it was still fun!

Difficult but fun! I have mastered the squash!

I really wanted to compose a track for it, but I only had an hour left by the time I had completed everything I wanted to be in.. I probably could have made something if I had gone for it since an extra hour was given, but obviously that wasnt disclosed beforehand (and it was also added for people to get through any issues they had uploading anyway!). And thanks so much!

Yeah, level 5 is where I started to make the puzzles a bit more in depth, since most of the main mechanics had been properly introduced! And thanks!

LOVED the voice acting & art! Super fun game!

Feels super juicy combat and fluid movement!

Difficult but super fun! Love these attack patterns!

Enjoyed this one! The idea is fun, and the gravity flipping puzzles were messing with me for sure..

Nonetheless, I beat it!

Hey, I made a puzzle game for this jam, feel free to try it out!

Hey, if your an enjoyer of puzzle games, this one might be for you!

Thanks a ton! I'm certainly thinking about spending a few extra days polishing up the game to what I would have liked to make after the jam is over. And yes, there is no way to restore health in the current version.

Thanks for trying the game! To answer some questions you had, to avoid getting hurt back when attacking, you need to back up or make distance between them and you  some other way when attacking. So if you attack, then back away before attacking away, you can dodge the melee attacks. For the knights which have long range, you'll be better off lunging away, or using some law to stun them for example. On the topic of laws, I believe the halted sense of progression may have been related to you happening to pick laws that don't actually have an effect. For example, one of the laws you picked was "On death, get damaged." but since you are dead when you are hurt, this has no effect. If I update this in the future I'll have to make this more clear! Thanks a ton for the feedback!

100% agree, the lack of sound effects is probably the worst offender of the project for me too, just never had the time to add them. Thanks for the feedback!

This was fun! The sound design especially I found was done super well.

Thanks man! I 100% agree with the stuff with animations and room emptiness - I had more planned but I never had the opportunity to work on the game for most of the days as you know. For the laws not being super impactful? It really boils down to what you get and what you make with it - some combos can synergies together well for completely different playstyles and really shake it up, but you need to play for a bit more than a game jam is warranted to be typically played for to find them. Cheers, and thanks for the feedback!

Hey, if you get this far you can try out my project "Project Kingly", where you create laws that apply to both you and the enemies based off law pieces which you assemble together. For example, you can make anyone who attacks explode! Then, you can take out enemies my just juking them.

steam release when??

Thanks for playing :)
