This mystery was my first introduction to Candela Obscura, and it absolutely sold me on the system (and the wonderful GM and group I would begin playing with). I loved the way the mystery built piece by piece, but in a very unexpected way, and how easy it is to slot in additional lore to suit an existing campaign.

It was a blast playing this mystery as part of our Candela Obscura campaign! We had a very wonderful mix of shenanigans, drama, and horror, as we realised that if we didn't do something soon, countless people could well meet their doom! I also loved how this was a stark reminder that the tainted ruins of Oldfaire lurk so very close to the surface of the supposedly modern Newfaire, and how little it takes to shatter that illusion.

Just like La Lionne Publishing's Whispering Pines mystery, we had a great time playing this one as part of our ongoing Monster of the Week campaign. My initiate had failed their start of the mystery move and was tasked with stealing some rather cursed artefacts from the Kingsley Estate. We had prepared our excuses for being there, only to discover the disappearance on arrival! This one was great as we also got to work in some cheeky lore about Lord Kingsley being a part of the Freemasons, a possible nemesis for our organisation. What I love about these mysteries is how you can really tailor them to the level of horror that your table is looking for.

We had so much fun playing this one as part of our ongoing Monster of the Week campaign. Our two Hunters were sent to investigate Nathan's disappearance after we received a tipoff via an anonymous party sending us the tape from his camera. Definitely recommend this one. You can either make it seriously dark and twisted, or allow for many (read MANY) hijinks like we love to have in our campaign. So it'll work for all kinds of tables.

Thank you for hosting this one, and sharing so many wonderful resources! I had so much fun putting my submission together! 🥰

Thank you for sharing this pack! I was looking for exactly these kinds of darker, twisted photos for a recent Jam submission, and there's community copies available if you'd like to take a squiz! https://blackwoodpress.itch.io/aperture-a-cursed-camera-supplement

Thank youuuu! I’m having an absolute blast working on the final layout! Photoshop brushes are far too much fun.

Really appreciate the time and care that went into making this solo expansion! I’ve used it to help inform my solo horror game based on the Passkey SRD: https://blackwoodpress.itch.io/midnight-in-jubilation-a-solo-horror-rpg

I was struggling to find a large, affordable pack of brushes for my upcoming TTRPG project when I found this superb set! Not only are the brushes great, but it comes with a tutorial to help you use them! Really appreciate it.

This was so much fun to play! My favourite moments included us doing stack-a-pug to get things off benches and to jump up on top of a chicken coop. <3

An absolutely beautiful game, both in art and writing! Also love the use of tarot for inspiration and narrative guidance.
