From the artist:

references of real images + brain
sometimes i dont use references at all

You can check out the inspiration images here, but  El Beshuele really went above and beyond and came up with a lot of the concepts we ended up using themself

Stoked to hear you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words

Love the art, but gameplay needs a little more spice. Also, some creepy music for the main game would sell the atmosphere better.

Lol, I got some comments on my game pointing at the exact same thing. I, likewise, had events that would get added to my random pool depending on previous events / decisions you had made. I wonder if maybe we both ought to up the likelyhood of encountering those "follow-up" events significantly so you're more likely to see the full story for those layered events.

(1 edit)

It was a stretch goal. The idea was that I'd show you the full "tech tree" of powers, but only reveal the details of the powers you'd actually collected during your various runs. I didn't have time to implement unfortunately

I feel confident now that I am not a tool, thank you

I hope my offers will be enough to straighten out these crooked men

Simple and cute. I like the hand-drawn style a lot. Would be nice to have a better indicator of your own attack hitting / missing since it felt like half the time it did damage and the other half it didn't and I wasn't sure why.

Really great art and music, the mood is very smoky! I want the events to feel like they're building on each-other a bit more.

The "composition" gimmick is cute, though it appears that I can just stand on the starting platform indefinitely and rack up however high a score as I want. As long as I don't move forward the starting platform appears to stay in place.

Really well polished! Love the art. This is a delightfully bite sized game.

Lol, not quite the ending for the story I was expecting!

The movement is interesting, I think the way you have to be near a wall to move is very snake-like. And the graphics on the snake are fun to watch expand / condense as you move around.

Great music!

I'm not sure what to actually do :/  Would be good to add a little tutorial under the game or something.

Really cool portraits for each of the gods, though!

I really like the glitchy sounds you used for the entities. I got a couple good jump scares from them. Also cool atmosphere, I liked the way the walls kinda look 3d (reminiscent of Teleglitch)

Would be nice if the resources were sort of a clue as to which direction to go.

Also, I have no idea if I won or lost, lol. The screen went fully black after about five minutes when I encountered a particularly familiar looking entity and was sucked on top of it.

I definitely recommend checking out the cutscene before you play!
