So, I'm gonna say a few things about what we have so far. Nothing's bad, and this is gonna border on glazing, so just bear with me.
(Also, spoilers if you haven't played yet)
1: First thing's first, I see so many people complaining about the updated models. I personally don't have a problem with them.
1.2: You physically cannot make me hate Pixie and Emma, but their outfits are objectively better. Emma's dress was basic at best, and Pixie's outfit didn't really mean much. It was kinda just gym clothes, but now she has an outfit that matches her bratty personality. (How dare I have the audacity to disagree with people).
1.3: I may just be going insane, but I do think Morgana's outfit is slightly changed, because I do not remember if she had those shorts on. But either way, I do appreciate that she at least covers less. Like, she's a terrible person; I don't wanna be attracted to her. And if you take her pants off, I'm GONNA be at least slightly attracted to her XD
1.4: Last one for the model CHANGES, but I appreciate Arc changing their faces. A lot of characters, especially Pixie, had severe cases of Baby Face, so fixing their faces and head structure definitely helps.
2: I appreciate Arc giving Violet (I think that's her name) a model now, and I hope he does it for all the shopkeepers. It felt so weird to talk to someone so often when I didn't even know what they looked like. Also, I appreciate giving her a little bit of a story (and possibly hinting that she's a Fey), because we could always use more characters.
3: I can't believe it took me this long to get to this point, but WE HAVE LORE NOW!!!!.... Okay, technically, we already had it, but now we have MORE lore :P
4: I actually really enjoyed the beginning section being more drawn out than the previous version, since it gives us more to work with. You used to be able to get from the train to Morgana's Demesne in, like, 10 minutes max, but now there's an actual throughline than "Get to apartment, get food, get killed, get powers".
5: I really like how Arc made it to where Emma and Jessica were already established characters, rather than having to bend over backwards (like I had to when I soft locked in the pre-remake) just to meet the characters and progress.
6: This is gonna sound like a negative, and I promise it's not, but I never had the chance to establish my name in the game. And the reason I say it's not a negative is because I know Arc probably just hasn't put in the section where you formally introduce yourself.
7: Last one, but I like the all-around changes to the gameplay. The explorations system is objectively better than "(Insert compass directions here), (Insert compass directions here), (Insert compass directions here)". Also, the ability to actually interact with the environment helps a ton for my enjoyment.
In conclusion? I can't wait for the next update, and I especially can't wait for Kana and the kids. Spending time with your kids was my favorite part of the pre-remake, so I'm practically frothing at the mouth to see how much more adorable they can get. (I promise I'm not a weirdo; I just have overactive paternal instincts XD)
