Would you be against user created mods for the Steam version then? There are creators who could make mods for painting water, addtional movement/actions for animals, animal/environmental sounds, other animals that aren't in the base game, etc.

Nice, ok.  Yeah I wasn't able to get to everything. The controls were really throwing me off. But I'll spend more time with in the steam release.

What about water though? Will there be any chance that we'll be able to paint/control water?

Ok, so I'm requesting for a refund, but I did find two issues so far: one major and one sorta-kinda major.

First off, it's beautiful. The water is clear, the trees are green and the nature sounds are nice (though I still wouldn't mind just being able to listen to the sounds of my own creation but eh).

The major one would be controls/movement. It's just really awkward and confusing. I move the mouse just a little and my camera spins around, ends up underneath the terrain or stuck. I've tried adjusting the camera controls but even those are confusing and not any help at all. It doesn't pan properly either. I think this might be a big issue for others for the most part. Also, I can't rotate the camera wherever I want. It only seems to rotate the entire map from one angle (one of the corners of the map, spinning the map from that corner, not sure if that makes any sense) rather than just let me rotate the camera. Is that a POV issue?

The sorta-kinda major one is that I can't place water where I want as far as I can tell (unless I'm wrong and I can paint water?). Being able to control and place water on top of or beneath rocks, mountains, or a dug up stream, etc., would be a HUGE bonus. This would allow players to create rivers, lakes, ponds, waterfalls, streams, creeks, etc. Also bonus sorta-kinda major thing would be being able to paint grass. Not just plants and flowers, but grass. Tall grass, short grass, really green grass or dead grass, etc. Water and grass would really change how people create things because then we'd be able to really mould the scapes into some pretty neat stuff. Like maybe creating something that's Venetian style where the streets are rivers. Or maybe creating canals that runs through a town, or maybe even through a castle. Maybe an item that's a sort of "spout" you can set and water will flow from it, and you can choose the size of the spout to control how much water flows from said spout. Being able to add multiple spouts in one spot could create some pretty neat water affects like a geyser, or a waterfall, or a fountain even.

Ok so there was a "No" for a lot of things, that's fair. But the water and grass thing.... Do you think you could swing it in the future or?

F*********ck. I literally JUST bought it right now then decided to refresh my post. Ah well. F*ck it. I might buy it again on Steam. We'll see.

Holy sh*t. You're doing pretty well for a one-man-team. Would you still be open to allowing user created mods? It could really expand this game.  While there might not be a lot of AI interaction, it's still a bit like a SimWorld type of game.

What do you mean "bring your own objects"? Can I import sh*t form outside into Flow and use those as models?

I recently discovered you on Reddit and have been spamming you on Twitter with lots of questions and what not. At first, I thought this game was only being released on Steam but when I Googled your game, I found you here. So I can buy it here or wait for the Steam version, but some questions...

  1. Will the Steam version have a player Market where we can share our scapes and/or download other user created scapes?
  2. If I buy this version here and there is a Market for the Steam one, will I still be able to access a player Market with the non-Steam version?
  3. Will this or the Steam version be allowing user created mods? Texture packs? Shaders?

I'm wondering if I should wait for the Steam version just-in-case there is a Player Market and/or modding.

Also, in case you didn't see my spammy questions on Twitter:

  1. Will there be more animals in the future?
  2. Will the animals have more freedom of movement around the scape? Will there be more interactions between said animals and environment?
  3. Will there be humans introduced into the environment? Will they interact with their surrounding and animals? Such as:
    1. Chopping trees and chopping wood.
    2. Cooking.
    3. Gathering food items from the environment.
    4. Fishing.
    5. Planting little crops.
    6. Herding/feeding animals.
  4. Are there environment sounds like:
    1. Water (lakes, rivers, streams, waterfalls, creeks).
    2. Rain.
    3. Storms (snow, thunder/lightning).
    4. Animal sounds like animal calls and sounds of animals walking/running/swimming on various surfaces.
    5. Wind.
    6. Trees and leaves rustling.
    7. Branches cracking.
    8. Weather sounds.
Or is it only music? (I would love to have actual sounds rather than music).
  5. Will there be a day/night cycle that you can set to cycle automatically?
    1. Moon (or moons and other celestial bodies, this could be fun for creating alien scapes).
    2. Stars, stationary and falling.
    3. Meteor showers.
    4. Moon and sun rise/set.
    5. Eclipses.
  6. Will the night sky rotate to simulate a rotating planet?
  7. What about weather cycles?
    1. Rain (from light to stormy).
    2. Cloudy (from mild to overcast) but also, will the clouds move and shift like real clouds do?
    3. Fog,
    4. Mists.
    5. Sunny (from mild to really hot).
  8. What about a cycle of seasons? Will the environment change according to the season?
    1. Winter - Snow covered ground. Trees with no leaves. Water freezing/icing over. Falling snow/snow storms.
    2. Spring - Water thawing. New grass and flowers/plants growing. New leaves and blossoms on trees and plants. The snow melts gradually.
    3. Summer - Everything is in bloom. Tree leaves, grass and flowers are plentiful. Water is crystal clear.
    4. Autumn - Tree leaves begin changing colour and eventually fall. Flowers, plants and grass begin to wither to prepare for winter. Frost covered grounds in late fall.
  9. What about the animals? Will their behaviour and appearance change with the seasons (and weather) as well?
    1. Winter - Hibernating animals/insects find their dens/furrows for the winter. Other animals dig through snow to find grass and other things to eat. Their furs are thicker and some even change colour.
    2. Spring - Animals come out of their dens/furrows, etc. They gather together and look for food, procreate. Their furs begin to shed and lighten in colour.
    3. Summer - It's summer. I mean, they're frolicking and running around. Bees are buzzing, birds are chirping, etc.
    4. Autumn - They begin preparing for winter. Their furs begin growing thicker and changing colours. They begin finding their dens/furrows where they'll stay for the winter.
  10. What about layering things to create caves/caverns? Will we be able to create things inside the caves/caverns? What about underground scapes? Underwater scapes?
  11. What about making much larger terrains? Or creating entire globes?

Hmmm, is this too much maybe or....? I'm just really excited for games like these. They're like sim games like Civilzation, SimCity and Anno, but where I have full and unadulterated control over everything. I want to watch things grow and move around. Change with seasons and weather. With day and night.

I could do these all day.
