When you purchased the game, it brought you to a screen with all the variety of files to download. You need the specifically downloaded the file that has "NSFW" in the name. Anything that doesn't have that in it is the "SFW"/free version :) For future reference, if you are ever unsure whenever you are downloading the free or paid version of a game, when you initially go to buy it, type in "$0" and whatever files are greyed out will be the paid version... so when you buy it you just download what was greyed out. Though most devs will mark in the download name if something is free/paid. (Not that I'm digging at the dev!!)
Sadly, it is not compatible with an iPhone. If you're trying to use the file with the Apple logo, that is for Macs--which are Apple's laptops/desktops. As for the APK file, iPhones cannot run those files--only androids can. It's a conflict in the operating systems. It is notoriously difficult to install an Android emulator on an iPhone due to their security and policies... all that jazz. Technically you COULD jailbreak it? But probably not a good idea girlie. I hope I explained why it isn't working! Sorry you can't play it :(
You can link a PayPal account to nearly anything. The same bank account I have linked to Apple Pay, I also have linked to PayPal!! Unless your bank doesn't work with PayPal
I used PayPal to buy the DLC and I had no issue with it at all. It's the main way to purchase things on itchio after the purge last year. If you're having issues, I think that's an issue on PayPal's end and I would contact support on their end for guidance. Also... if you're 21 years old... forgive my insensitivity but I don't think $2 is egregious in the slightest. Most games charge a lot more for that.

Sadly I think it's true. She hasn't posted on her Tumblr or TikTok or really anywhere. I see that she reposts things so she's at least alive... but sadly I don't think it'll happen :( Just hope she's doing okay. I really loved the game, ESPECIALLY EFREN GOD
I really, really did enjoy this Visual Novel. And I think you've nailed some aspects I have yet to see on some of the more popular games on here. Mostly, with the backstory of Vergil! In most, the male yandere is just... for no reason. Just obsessed for no apparent reason, no I'm not counting "he saw you at the grocery store and fell in LOVE". It's something that always bothered me because it's just lazy writing, and it's even worse if the lore isn't available in the game, just on the authors Tumblr (I'm thinking of one very specific instance....) However, you incorporated Vergil's backstory into the narrative--with emotional neglect, religious trauma, and overall how sh**ty parents and toxic relationships give you serious, often misdirected attachment issues. Nobody saved him as a child, his parents failed to protect him, and he was betrayed by someone who was supposed to be loyal to him... so it makes sense that he would fall in love, dangerously so, with the first person who actually cared enough to do something for him... Sorry for my psychoanalysis, it's just something I loved in this short little demo! Oh and he's also hot and I hope in a future development he cracks me :p
The creator stated in their FAQ that the game basically exceeds in terms of size (from my understanding) that itchio's browser option could handle. I know that must be frustrating girl </3 I wish you luck ♥
This is most likely due to the fact you have a copy of an older build on your computer. For some reason, this always messes with RenPy created games for me--most likely due to the changes in the script that creates this error as you are trying to load a game with certain aspects that no longer exist if that makes sense. To fix this, permanently delete the first build. Not by putting it in the trashcan, but by going into your App Data on your computer. To do this, press the Windows + R key at the same time, and copy this: %appdata% and click enter. Then, find the application for the old build, and delete everything. Sorry if I'm bad at explaining, there are many tutorials online--I'd put a link but then my comment with get flagged! I hope this helps girl <3 LMK if you still have this issue, but for me this has fixed it every time :)
OMG I didn't see this! Yes, I know that there are adult games like those that appeal to men. I was just saying that most of them on itchio tend to appeal to women as we like the community on here. I also don't support real life crime; there is a very large distinction between fantasy and real life. Banning these games does nothing. Women and children suffer and nothing of substance is done to protect them!!
I really, really loved this! Calvin is fascinating, and I enjoyed playing around with the dialogue options to see how he'd react! I loved the psychological horror aspect. I would say, I wish he full on cracked you. Maybe I didn't try enough combos but I could only trigger 3 NSFW scenes </3
Usually, the intended audience is almost always women. A lot of men don't play these games as it does not appeal to them. Either way, I don't think itchio cares as they do not want to be blacklisted from the credit card companies. Collective Shout (the company) doesn't care about women or children at all. So I agree it's puzzling. Their intention is to control, not to protect women.
Basically because of an Australian TERF group called Collective Shout (CS) was absolutely furious over the games Steam and Itchio were hosting because they were “harmful to women”. Yet… they supported the Netflix film Cuties and don’t include transgender women in their activism… anyways they asked them to take all games like “No Mercy” down, but when Steam and Itchio did nothing, CS went over their heads and sent their demands to the payment processors, who changed their policies to not allow any games that CS does not like (which has very broad guidelines). So, to prevent not being able to get any money, Itchio purged all the NSFW games, completely de-indexing all of the games to avoid being blacklisted from all major credit card companies. And slowly, they’ve been going over the games and completely deleting the ones that violate these new censorship guidelines, and approving the ones to go back to being in the index. It’s complete and total BS from this TERF group that doesn’t protect children or women in the slightest. I’m gonna avoid giving my opinion anymore but maybe you can fill in the gaps of what I think ☠️ You can still find the BTD games on dirty murder games. Gato doesn’t own this account, this is EP’s. TDDUP will definitely be next.
I REALLY love the game! I would have one tiny tweak I would suggest... Could you perhaps make the hair color for the MC a slider for the final game? Just to make it more immersive. :)
Well, yeah, you're right--obviously that is stated in the beginning. But that doesn't automatically mean no one can provide polite, constructive criticism because they wish for the game to be improved BECAUSE there will be a final version. There's no need to be rude... Be a little bit kinder. Life is better that way. :)
