Can confirm it works on RetroArch genesis plus gx, tested on my phone

Not sure if emulation is the problem but definitely the more sprites on screen, the game gets a bit more choppy

I’ve never played this before but it’s actually pretty fun

Would you port either arcade contras to genesis?

I am so glad to finally play a port of this game, and it seems very close minus a few issues I ran into

1. When the race starts I’m pretty sure there is supposed to be a beep each change from the lights, I did not hear this

2. Audio speeds up and down during the race

3. Give the drum track a bit more punch  to bring it closer to arcade

4. Odd bug, if you press start at anytime the race restarts and a noise is sustained until the race starts then the song starts, it also happens on the attract mode

5. Attract mode needs work to be arcade perfect, during the demo race, no audio should be playing and a insert coin text in red blinks in the middle of screen, the high scores scrolls from the bottom, in its current state, it will play a very short segment of the demo race, plays audio for a second and then the audio glitches out at the high score screen

all In all, framerate was pretty good, maybe super hang on could be redone in the future as this has a better performance than the port of super hang on  

Graphics on the mountain have some missing pixels 

The mega drive version, will this work on ntsc consoles or both?

If your successful, use it for the 32x port, the more accurate the better, I think you may be able to get a lot more done with ai, but your gonna need to know some programming for it to be as close as possible, I also think both tempest and tempest 2000 should have a port on just base genesis hardware, if your able to do this on master system, it probably could work

I have a cheap everdrive and a model 1 genesis, I’ll test it on there and report back, for color correction, talk to master linkeui, he may point you in the right direction

So far it’s close, needs music but that’s okay
