Like if you look at the screenshot I posted. And I asked you, "How many Artillerists can I buy with my Booms?". You wouldnt be able to tell because there is nothing indicating that. The only way to know is to open up the building menu and check from there.

Thanks for asking! I forgot to post feedback. I liked a lot of the stuff, but what I thought could be better: The numbers on top left. Could help if they had some visual clues (like icons, colours...) to set them apart. Now it's bunch of text and numbers, which I found was a bit difficult for me to tell the things apart.
For Units, you could have some short of sprite of the units that stacks up as the player buys more. Use like stacks of 5 or 10 maybe so the player can get an idea of how many they got based on the stacks.
Same kind of stuff with the resources: icons would be nice, and what I was thinking of was that you could add some sort of indicator when the collected resource is enough to do an ugprade so I dont have to browse the buildings constantly to check. So when the number of Booms is high enough to hire a Worker, the Worker icon / sprite would show up on the right side of it. Same with other upgrades the player can buy.
Thanks for the reply!
Initially the background was moving a lot more, but I tuned it down. I guess I should have made the lightspeed animation even rarer and take less time.
The reason why it is moving like that is to tell a story: astronaut Bun-Bun is venturing deeper inside a blackhole that sucked up his home: the moon. So the background moving is the suction of the blackhole.
This was really fun! I made it to $2000! The gameplay was simple, but I liked jumping up and collecting more and more money. I also liked the random events that popped up, you either lost money, nothing happened, or you gained some. The fact that I could hold down spacebar to continuously jump instead of having to always tap it was a good idea - I didn't have to spam one button over and over to play this.
But some issues from me: The screenshots of the game show a person, but you play as a block? Game was kind of random too, sometimes you got money every jump, sometimes it took multiple jumps to get one. And sometimes I bought yacht after yacht after yacht, but other times I got a lot of breaks. This made getting a good score about luck. The game doesn't get harder either as it goes on, I wish it did have smaller platforms or something.
But very fun game! Thanks for making it. Good music and simple and fun platforming.
I think I have enough money to pay them? But the workers don't seem to do anything ? I hired 3 workers and 1 intern.
I got to level 5 and finished with a score of 3966. I think it was fun, but you could have used more backgrounds and have the items tied to their setting. It was really hard at first, but once I got used to it I got better at it.
Art is not 1-bit and it does not use the Capitalism theme of the Jam, sadly.
I love this game! I think if you work on the art a bit more so it is less rough at some spots, this could very well be a commercial game. Simple and easy to get into but super fun and can get quite complex later on. I really liked the design of the player character, you managed to make him look good with very little. I also enjoyed running after the birds to chase them away! I think there could be some sort of unlock or secret for chasing away all the birds?
Easily 5/5 from me.
Amazing game in many ways: art, sound, and gameplay. And I especially love the title screen!
But the UI sadly does not live up to the standards of the rest of the game. The font was incredibly small on my screen and difficult to read - on top of the UI looking so basic, which was surprising to me considering how good rest of the game looks. Offering colour combinations for the player to pick from is a nice idea, but some of the combinations ended up looking rather bad. Rather than letting the player combine any colours they want, it would be better to have set combos I think.
