Nice concept and I liked the art style. Plays well. I would say that I didn't quite get the heated egg thing at first as there's a lot of text explaining everything at the start (and some of it obscures the gameplay so maybe move it higher or over the landscape parts.

Would be nicer to spread out the tutorial so you learn one thing each stage, starting with the sun hitting the egg. A bit more feedback on the egg being heated would be good, even just flashing it. Some blue sky gradient backdrops to reinforce that it's the sun up there?

I found the platforming a bit slippy for my tastes, with a lot of sliding, it is nice and fast though so maybe just tone down the sliding a bit?

There wasn't one, but maybe something like a Ninja with the flu trying to escape or steal a cure. Plenty of mucus-based dangers. Sneezing would be fatal.

Thanks for the nice review! Appreciated :) I will have a look at Duckie and Egg and leave you some feedback!

I think the boogers were a tenuous link to the jam themes :) Glad you enjoyed it!

I think there could be a whole game based on Scuba Ninjas ... :)

Good concept, but I found it very tough to play. Could do with easing in more gently :)

Thank you. I wished I had more time to expand on story and scenes. It's also quite hard to actually interact with the other monks. I will try and fix that.

Talk to everyone! :) Sorry, because it's such a short and simple game I decided not to give too much information...

Oh and the music was from an asset pack.

Thank you. I agree the gameplay needs work and there's more that can be done with the number matching feature.

I've now uploaded a rom. Thanks for playing!

Thank you. Yes, I am currently working on this as a game :)

I actually dug out some 3D glasses and watched it - great stuff !

Very impressive. Loving that 3D wireframe!

Lovely stuff beautifully done! A lot of cats in this Jam - wish I'd put one in now :)

I really loved the cartrige into gameboy mech sequence :) A great story idea and well put together.

Thank you. The spray can animation took ages and sent me a bit mad at first :) Hopefully I'll get around to making the actual game :)

Thanks! I do like a bit of Blade Runner and 5th Element :)

Great style and animation! Liking the way it fills the frame - what did you build it with?

Great cat animation and sounds! Like the fact you used the GB camera too.

Thanks :)

Cheers :) I don't think the game will be quite in that league though!

Thanks :) It's a Beatscribe track (see above).

Thanks! Great music track :) I didn't put any music on until near the end and thankfully your track sat nicely  with it. Would you like to be added to the credits?

Cheers :)

Thank you, glad someone out there is enjoying them!

Thank you for laying! ;) Nice one!

Thank you for featuring Space GB in your magazine! Glad you enjoyed the game. Now pirates or ships would be interesting... Sea.GB hmmm :)

Thank you for the review! Nice video :)

I don't know if it's new or not, I've only been using GBStudio 4. It's an option under "Engine field update" event.

Nice!

Yes, that includes games. Apologies if that wasn't clear enough - I don't like writing these legal bits :) No need to mention copyright, it's just there to prevent people selling the assets as is. Thanks for buying the assets and I look forward to seeing the game!

thanks ! Yes, it's the shoot em up template, with scroll speed controlled by variable.

Thank you!

(1 edit)

All the time, not just slopes, but I found this with another game on the jam too, so possibly a. Windows issue I guess.

Great original work. Simple and engaging. Love the Atari VCS style :)

Thank you! The mobile support is a happy side effect of using GBStudio to export to web.

Thanks! I used the "point and click" scene type which probably wasn't the best to use. I think "Adventure" would have given me a bit more control over those things.

Thanks! Agree with you on hte health thing - I was going to add health pick-ups and smart bombs, but didn't have time.

Nice one. I really liked the art and music, there's a lot of gameplay here too. I keep missing the lift though and it goes without me :)
