Not a bad first build! I'd have liked a bit more consideration into the realism of space travel. I think it would've helped the world building. Since the MC is from Titan, he'd've had some trouble adjusting to a planet's high gravity and would not be used to a natural atmosphere with different gas concentrations. This might've been a bit more realistic than the 'star sickness' approach you took. I'm a massive sucker for hard sci-fi, so I am definitely biased in this opinion though! Otherwise it was a great first build and I am looking forward to seeing how the story progresses!

Yeah, that's the one I tested and it passes all EPUB2 conformance tests with epubcheck, so it should work with most e-readers.

The fonts are just a lot more basic than the PDF.

Let me know if you need help with the epub stuff in the future.

Thanks so much!

Running into some issues with the Google Docs export though. Seems to not output spec compliant epubs (due to external fonts). The external fonts freak Apple Books out (the book fails to load correctly), Kindle seems to just ignore the custom fonts all together (the book is otherwise fine).

I got it working in Apple Books by first importing into Kindle Previewer and then converting the 'optimised' KPF to EPUB via Calibre.

I'd love it if the story was made available in epub format alongside pdf for e-readers

You should try using Git for version control and then you can backup the entire project (and its history) to GitHub (for free!). Might be a bit tricky to learn at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is easy.
