I like the minigames, and they're very creative, too! The theming is super fun, though the games were a little basic. Some other small improvements like menu music would have improved the game, but that's more a matter of having more time. Within the timeframe, you did a really good job! Making multiple games in one is difficult.

Definitely very fun! Simple mechanics, but lots of re-run potential. Definitely a lot of potential to add mechanics, which is great! The walking part seemed a little redundant, but the rail section was a lot of fun!

A super cute game. Very reminiscent of Super Monkey Ball. I beat it after a little while of tries, but it was very fun. The only complaint I really had was that there were times when it was difficult to tell when a surface was sloped or not. Otherwise, fun game!

A very tricky game. It feels quite unforgiving at times, but the visuals are clean and it's very fun to play through. Phase two destroys me every time. It's a brilliant concept and I love the creativity of fighting the start button! Perhaps giving some of the lasers some sort of brief warning on which direction they're going to move would help.

A very fun game! The last levels were challenging, but not too hard. I loved the art and the concept as a whole was very creative. I loved the blue planets. Super fun mechanic!

Yep. This is only active when the stairs start chasing you, though (I wanted to change it but ran out of time)

You can actually still move while the stairs move! Hopefully this should help get you those other endings. Thanks for the kind words!

Here's my game! https://itch.io/jam/shovel-jam-2025/rate/3736374

Any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!

A very addictive game with a very fun theme! I couldn't get much higher than 3000, but I had a lot of fun getting there. It could have been worked with a way to be closer to the theme of the jam, but the other aspects of the game are very entertaining!

Very fun. Not too difficult, not too easy. Also the only entry to have rick rolled me so far, so you're definitely doing something right. The art is great, gameplay is fun, writing is fun and the humour was just right for me. Brilliant!

I really liked this one. The games were short but super silly (the football one was my favourite) and the whole theming around the game was really fun. It definitely brought me back to minigame-focused games like wario-ware and the like (but chill and able to play each game at your own pace).

Silly game with some fun references. The music did get a tad repetitive, but I enjoyed spam petting the cat for a mega energy boost. Artstyle was very cute and the concept behind the game is a solid entry for the jam. Great work!

A pretty simple card game. It's a bit confusing, so it could definitely do with a little more description. The sound effect have some nice punch to them, though and the fact you managed to also code an enemy AI for you to fight in the time you did is really impressive!

The music and art were standout. Really really artistic in both senses. It was a little short, but the gameplay-story cross was really well. In a game about learning to slow down and enjoy free time, it makes sense to have a reduced focus on gameplay. Not just a brilliant game, but rather showing games as an artform, not just for entertainment

I'm a man that doesn't play games because they're relaxing, but rather because they're intense and this hit the right spot. My hands were shaking trying to type as fast. Right up my alley. I will, however, say that the button to leave being space did catch me a few times because I instinctively hit space to start a new word. Perhaps an option to change that would have been good, but other than that, really good entry!

I like the art a lot and the trinket system is really nice. It's charming and super cute!

I struggled a lot with this game. I'm really not great at mazes. However, the artstyle was really good. I particularly liked you went through the effort of adding reflection to your character. Such an artistically awesome game!

A challenge to be sure, but not one that was too difficult to surpass. There were definitely some bugs here and there, but the artwork was good and the levels weren't so challenging or unfair that I felt it was impossible. A good level of challenge!

A fun little game, though certainly a little buggy (my rock grinder started going the opposite direction to my train, and I went into the negative for rounds). It's a really nice concept, though, and I could see myself getting hooked to something like this if it had a little more polish. It was very satisfying watching my train start small and eventually seeing it weave in-between trees and make lots of money.

This was such a fun game. The audio changing as you went deeper underground was a really nice touch. I particularly liked the final section of the game (no spoilers, but it provided a really fun change up of gameplay). Not to mention how much fun it was to get a nuclear chain reaction. Brilliant!

Fun game! The controls are easy to get the hang of and the levels are fun. I particularly like the overlay that lets you move around the platforms. A challenge, but a fun one, definitely! The art is all very coherent and the hotdogs add the right amount of challenge to levels (I got all 11)

The fighting mechanics were a little basic, but the writing, oh the writing was so much fun. I loved the story all the way through and managed to get to the end. Awesome game!

This is such a silly game, I love it. Dilly Dally makes me smile just looking at him! Love this interpretation of the theme, and the dialogue is very fun, too.

Glad you enjoyed it! A tip for getting the final ending: The timer for the ending is 1 minute long, but increases by 5 seconds each time you turn to face the other direction, so you need to let the creatures come at you a little before trying to look at them.

Thanks once again for trying my game!

In my humble opinion:

The left minigame was super easy when you got a rhythm for it, though I agree with other comments that the right minigame had a pretty small hitbox. Fun game and not too difficult.

Awesome job! The minigame style of this is really fun!
