Was really glad that the shield was already activated hahah, made it a bit less difficult! And oh no worries, the game was still definitely fun, let me know if you plan to/when you fix it though so I can give your game another try! :)

(1 edit)

Managed to get it on my third run, very well done on the game! :)

Thank you so much for playing the game, and glad to find people that can also appreciate the snail trivia! :)

Thank you so very much for playing, and so glad you enjoyed it! I am definitely going to continue making games after getting such encouraging comments such as yours! :)

Thank you so much for playing! :) The WASD movement is indeed already on my to-fix list for after the judging period, and glad you like the option for scary or not scary, it was a small portion of scary game but I still want to respect player's choices in that way!

Thank you so much for playing the game! The chess part was a bit of a late addition, so I am definitely patching it to be made easier after the judging period, so thank you for the feedback! :)

First of all, thank you so much for playing the game, glad you like the game! :) I am also especially very proud of the big snail sprite hahah. As for your specific feedback, I absolutely agree with you, and a bunch of these things were already on the to-fix list for after the judging is over! Especially that you actually have the three lives throughout the quiz and cup minigames, I severely underestimated how difficult that would be for others. That last thing about snails speaking up is actually a great one, I will keep it in mind when I am patching the ending, thank you!

Thank you very much too! :)

Didn't get further than year 6 (skill issue), but it is extremely clear this game is very well thought out and well made. I like the visuals and it definitely shows your tried to utilize the different skills you got over the years, very well done!

Played your game, this is far from the genre I normally play but gosh does it feel very well thought out and complex, super well done on it! I will leave a rating and more elaborate comment on the rating page :)

Just finished your game, I genuinely LOVE the narration hahah, I was afraid of it being gone when it was said here it ends but no there was more and it adds so much, great job! Just commented and rated too on the rating page :)

I adore this game, the narration is absolutely AMAZING, that was just so much fun! And loved the boss fight too hahah, so bizarre! congrats on your first game, very well done!

Thank you very much for playing my game! :)

Just finished the game and left a rating and comment, again congrats on your first game jam! :)

The game was slightly too difficult for me at times, but I genuinely love the game concept with the dashing and the overdrive mechanics, really really solid idea! I also quite like the art style, especially of the enemies. Congrats on your first game jam! :)

Thank you very much, that was exactly the style I was going for! :)

Also quickly wanted to come back to say my perception of the difficulty/platforming was partly because when I got to the top I went straight to the right without the attack ability (saw this on Shovel's stream and I was like oh wait), so when I replayed that made a big difference in being able to attack! So I adjusted the rating accordingly, also strange issues in Godot is so relatable hahah.

Just finished playing your game and left a comment and rating on the page :) Like I said there to, congrats on your first game jam and the game was a very fun puzzle! My feedback is that it might have been a little hard at times (especially with the parts with the orange cubes being shot at you), but way more important feedback is please don't be too hard on yourself with 'buggy and doesn't look the best', I think you made a solid game and you can be proud of it!

I DEFINITELY enjoyed the concept and even the game hahah, super well done on your first game jam! It was at times a little difficult, but I had a lot of fun trying to puzzle my way out! Don't be too hard on yourself talking about poor quality or execution, with a game jam games simply can't be perfect and that is fine!

Forgot to leave a comment here but of course already rated and commented, really enjoyed your game indeed! :)

I really like all the small puzzles (and had a great laugh after getting the spelling to start the game right hahah), very well done on your first game jam! Also, the art and music are really good too!

Oh very well done on the music and general game design, I really like it! :) Think the music is very fitting for the game! I think the puzzle elements really added up (like the having to spell play), kept surprising me, very creative! I will leave a comment and rating.

Also, thank you so much for playing my game too, so glad you had fun! :) (next to the scare part hahah)

Quite like hotel management games, and I definitely had fun playing! Since there is a lot to walk to it would have been nice to walk just a little bit faster, but next to that no notes! I think it was fun how slowly but surely you kept unlocking things (like the needing to clean the graffiti, well done on the game! :)

Love me a hotel management game, I just played your game and I will rate and leave a comment on the page! :)

Quite the challenge to make a level editor for your first gamejam, but I think you definitely succeeded! It might be nice to be able to see the items that you placed instead of the coloured block, but I'm genuinely very impressed, congrats on your first game jam!

Oh it is a level maker, very nice! I will play your game right now and leave a rating and comment :)

Just rated and commented, it is a very charming ragegame, very well done! Also, I think the throwing of the head in that way is such a cute animation sprite to jump!

Hey, I haven't forgotten about your game but I cannot seem to open it, it gives me the error of 'A D3D11 -compatible GPU (Feature Level 11.0, Shader Model 5.0) is required to run the engine.' I will try to fix this still so I can still play your game in the judging period! :)

I was doing pretty well (after some struggles at the beginning) but then I fell down sooo much I was like ' :) '. Great rage game and the robot is very very cute, congrats on finishing your first gamejam!

Actually just a very good game, I really enjoyed the puzzles as they struck a great balance between challenging and fun, and after level 14 I was very intrigued by the story/mystery element. Super well done on this!

Hey, just finished playing your game! I have to be honest, I have no points of feedback. I think this is a very solid game, and I really enjoyed it! I will leave a comment and rating :)

Forgot to respond here but already played and rated the game, I definitely had a lot of fun and I am glad to see in the amount of ratings you and your team are getting the recognition the game deserves! <3

I adore games I can learn things from, and Dilly Dally is such a charming little guy! :) I really thought that after the quiz that would be it, very pleasantly surprised! Well done on your first game jam submission

A bit too hard for me? Yes. But I can still really really appreciate the very creative interpretation of the theme and the amazingly cute art (and evenly cute encouraging snowmen!). Very well done, especially for your first game jam! :)

Very fun puzzle game, when I got to the raptors with one heart due to a bug I had a bit of a hard time but that didn't take away from a good mix between tough puzzle and fun game! The first time the towers that shoot a lot more precisely to you got introduced I was like oh no, help hahah

Just finished your game, will leave you a comment and rating! :)
In terms of difficulty, as you described as well on the game page, I did run into the game restarting me at one heart after that first checkpoint. I tried a couple of times to get to another checkpoint but due to just one hit I wasn't able to. In that way, I would say that makes it quite difficult, but without that, I would say the difficulty is about right! Maybe sometimes a bit tough, but if next to the bug that is your intention I think it is spot on! :) But that aside, I do really like it! I think your game is a really solid puzzle game, very well done!

Also thank you very much for playing SnailQuest, glad to hear you had fun!

Genuinely had so much fun, just wow! Made it until round 25 with the DND dice, very well done and such a creative and fun entry! :)

Thank you so much for playing my game on stream, I really appreciate it! I totally agree with your feedback, I will put both the WASD controls and some chess improvements on the list of to fix after the judging process :) The chess game was a bit too late of an addition (a few hours before the deadline) so I bit of a bit more than I could chew with that one. Again thank you so much for playing, hope you had fun!

Hey! I downloaded and tried to play your game but I got the following error: A D3D11 -compatible GPU (Feature Level 11.0, Shader Model 5.0) is required to run the engine. I will look into this later, but no worries, did want to let you know I haven't forgotten about it and I will do my best to fix it so I can play!

Had a lot of fun playing this game, the art is great and I managed to get to that 10 minute mark! I quite like ants :)
