Hey, I think your game was definitely fun, love to see you try to put so many of the challenges in too with the turtle and assembling! :) I would say the battle system could be made better by making it either so that the player could potentially activate those spells or that it is made less random? I tried some of the battles multiple times, and the outcome could be quite different sometimes with very minor tweaks. But I think the best way is to make it maybe that if you do different battles you could unlock different things? Like make it so that the player needs to work for it a little bit before equipping just about everything. But overall, again, fun game, super well done! :)

First off, very well done on your first GWJ! I quite like the game, it has a satisfying game loop! :) I did also manage to break the game (if you spam to open a chest, you can open it ~10 times before it deletes), sadly this did result in me getting locked because it did seam like the mutations didn't spawn? Regardless it was genuinely a fun game!
Fun game! I do like the color combining (although that took embarrassingly long to find out I will have to admit). I think in terms of level design, you could add some puzzle elements to it, since I found myself mostly being somewhere and going through the colours to see which one is the one to move forward. Potentially you could add some kinda hints as to what colour is coming up to be able to build a sequence where someone needs to remember or switch between them in a certain order? Anyway, fun game and would be fun to see some more elements added, well done! :)
Wildly impressive game! Had a lot of fun and although it did take a little bit to figure out, it is a great gameplay loop and I played it a couple of times, didn't get past round 15 or so though. Did face some bugs through which I got hardlocked (see other comment) but I think that if you fix those you have a really solid and fun game!
First of all, very charming concept and feels extremely fun and unique, was surprised to realize you made this on your own! As for difficulty, I think I had trouble understanding it in the very beginning (a lot of text in the tutorial but also a lot of different stats to understand). I think it might help to introduce all the concept a little slower. So instead of the text, it might be nice to every combat or encounter introduce a different part or have one combat were you handhold the player.
As for balance, I was going to suggest making it less difficult, but when I really got the hang of the poker scores it was definitely way more doable, I simply think the game has a bit of a learning curve.
Quick bug notes, any mutagens you buy do transfer when you start a new game you do keep, not gamebreaking but not sure if it was intended. Also, and I ran into this sometimes, I was not able to score the cards (either it would say it is an invalid hand when it is not or I would simply not let me score at all, locking me into combat (see screenshots below). Saw in the rating comments someone else had the same problem, hope you can still find and fix that bug!
Long story short, amazing game, had a lot of fun playing!
I definitely think you can see you focused on those things, I think the little animations for the player character added a lot of life to said character. I also like the music choice and sound effect, well done! I like the art and creativity of the upgrades you can pick and all the different directions the character can look at. In terms of improving art, I think you are on your way in doing so looking at the games you made before and how you are practicing making more, think adding more of those small animations and movements give your game a lot of personality! Sadly I do not know a lot about music (something I am trying to improve in too), but I think you got this!
[Pixel Artist] Looking for Projects to Work On
Hi, my name is Mustard and I am looking for fun projects, either in the form of game jams (unpaid) or games (paid/unpaid) to work on. My style could best be described as retro pixel art/Game Boy Aesthetic and usually I work with limited colors. I am an especially big fan of making weird little creatures, but I also make tilesets, props and other assets.
If you are interested, shoot me a message down here with a way to reach you (pref email or Discord). I am not interested in any games that are developed with assistance of AI.

The art from the two games on my profile is mine for an impression, but here is a quick impression of the art from my last game jam game.(Excuse the atrocious linework on the slug on the left, I ran out of time to fix it for the jam)
First of all, thank you so much for playing the game, glad you like the game! :) I am also especially very proud of the big snail sprite hahah. As for your specific feedback, I absolutely agree with you, and a bunch of these things were already on the to-fix list for after the judging is over! Especially that you actually have the three lives throughout the quiz and cup minigames, I severely underestimated how difficult that would be for others. That last thing about snails speaking up is actually a great one, I will keep it in mind when I am patching the ending, thank you!
Also quickly wanted to come back to say my perception of the difficulty/platforming was partly because when I got to the top I went straight to the right without the attack ability (saw this on Shovel's stream and I was like oh wait), so when I replayed that made a big difference in being able to attack! So I adjusted the rating accordingly, also strange issues in Godot is so relatable hahah.
Just finished playing your game and left a comment and rating on the page :) Like I said there to, congrats on your first game jam and the game was a very fun puzzle! My feedback is that it might have been a little hard at times (especially with the parts with the orange cubes being shot at you), but way more important feedback is please don't be too hard on yourself with 'buggy and doesn't look the best', I think you made a solid game and you can be proud of it!
I DEFINITELY enjoyed the concept and even the game hahah, super well done on your first game jam! It was at times a little difficult, but I had a lot of fun trying to puzzle my way out! Don't be too hard on yourself talking about poor quality or execution, with a game jam games simply can't be perfect and that is fine!
