Congratulations you guys! Love being in your Discord seeing you guys work together. What you made is really packed with the fun element. I'm not sure if there's a win condition but it gets chaotic and tense. The sword sounds were a bit hard to take seriously. Love the Protogens (I'm probably biased.
Really enjoyed the game especially when I learned it was interviews about marginalized people (dunno what word would fit neurodivergency, mental health, and lgbtq). I loved the portraits and in-game icons, although the overworld sprites of the characters being low-res was really jarring against the high-res tiles. Since the game mostly takes place in an interview, I think its acceptable.
I was streaming on this Twitch on a channel that's not specifically 18+. I think it's important to talk about nsfw themes in a respectful manner but I still felt interview 4 got a little minor-unsafe. The game is listed as 17+ on the proper game page but not when coming from submissions or in-game, and it doesn't describe what 17+ about it. In-game content warnings would have been appreciated. That probably should apply to violence with interview 3 as well, for people sensitive to topics about violence.
Really pleasantly surprised and I'm really sad to know it's the least-reviewed game currently. :(. It's really good for a game jam, given some people aren't able to even fully cross the finish line in jams.
Also, I didn't see how signals were involved.
The game overwhelmed me with all the mechanics, but I was able to figure out by just winging it which does show pretty good design. Still, I had a long string where I couldn't find any planets to generate water, and I wasn't clear which upgrades would be more or less significant. I ended up running out of water despite water efficiency upgrade, a water upgrade, and two full miner upgrades.
I also wish there was music and more sfx works, especially because of the simulation vibe this game has.
Overwhelming aside, it's VERY impressive how much game you fitted in here. Like did you get sleep??

I haven't finished it so I'm unsure how it interprets the theme, but I loved everything so far!
Also, how long is the game? I've been playing this on stream with a friend voice acting button while I do Chico, but I'm concerned about giving time for everyone's games and I want to play around it cause I definitely wanna finish this game on stream!
The quickload was a debug tool that I realized was better to leave in than remove, that's why it has such a weird mapping.
I'm glad you liked it, we worked incredibly hard, and you bet we wish we had more time but we have floated the thought of continuing and polishing what we already have. Would be up to them though.
Hey thanks for the comment!
"The pacing feels a bit weird after you get the dash ability." Yeah we straight up ran out of time, the city zone had something like 15 rooms planned but none of them had enemies and only two of them were decorated, so all the other ones were axed. The underground was also supposed to be longer.
Actually, I like your point about the w key if its not being used. Having both space and w be the jump button sounds like the best approach.
You're right! We're marred with time constraints, we had a lot of people new to Godot and to game jams, as well as some availability problems here and there. We know it has potential and I think most of the team is motivated to continue working on this after the jam. There was definitely more writing planned and everything.
I saw you working on this, I had really high hopes for it. I do love the gameplay but I think its marred by the fact I can't scroll so many stages. I also think there's some communication problems with showing what the goal is, but this would have been 5/5 in a lot of places with more polish, and it is a 5/5 in my heart.
