Im sorry about all this, i did not have internet because i was moving houses and of course it had to be when the jam started. I just updated it now and choose some random bonus challenges. if the bonus challenges go against your idea you started just remember you dont have to do them
Thats acully pretty fun, id recommend to make a web version and also sometimes the things fall of of screen so its hard to know when you failed sometimes so maybe add a collision box there so things bounce back or someting
Its a very cool idea but I think its a little bit to hard, I'd suggest that you give the player a little bit more space as I often crushed into the walls. i think the players hitbox should be a bit shorter when swimming and a bit taller jumping. Thats just what I think but you can do whatever you want
Nice game! my only recommendations would be to be able to press the start button with the keyboard, so you dont have to grab the mouse and click it every time.
you can do this by adding this code to the _on_ready function:
$StartButton.grab_focus() #replace StartButton with node name
or by just checking if a button is pressed
and also make sure the spikes dont spawn on you(you probly already did this) (and maybe give a little animation. and also as a rule of thumb to make the spikes hitboxs a bit smaller
