This game has first been released in October 2024, so I'm pretty sure it's still far from being "over a year" lol
I'll take that as a compliment though. Don't worry, I'm still working on it, but since I'm alone and I want to do better than the first release (which wasn't great, and there are still errors there and there even now) it does take time.
I'd be interested in seeing what you'd think would be the propre length for the demo of a visual novel. I just want to say that I am not planning to make a very big game since I am working on it by myself without remuneration as a hobby (also it's my first game, so I want to stay reasonable).
(Also I'm very confused by the "clicked through slideshow" comment since it's very much the concept of a visual novel ? Perhaps you could explain...?)

All I can say is that there is a way to romance him ! After all, the game is labeled as "romanc", so no worries about that ! It's just a slow-burn, so it'll take time to establish a proper relationship.

I've really wanted to give the opportunity to the player of slowly getting to know him and build something despite their (obvious) differences. Might be my love for "enemies to lovers" trope speaking.
And to answer your question, I'm planning to keep the game free !
I felt like it would be better both the player and the love interest to grow more interested in each other gradually, with all the differences (both physical and cultural) that come between them.
Also, I'm glad you liked the coworkers as well ! I wanted a good support system for the player in comparison to the deadly merman.

As of now, it's not in my plans, since I have no idea how it's done. Right now, I'd rather just focus on finishing the game for PC/Mac. I'll consider it, but I can't promise anything, unfortunately.
I have just re uploaded new files just to make sure, I had my friend tested it and it works. I'd say try again, but if it doesn't work, I'm afraid I won't have a solution. ;_;
I was searching a bit into it to make sure it doesn't come from my end while uploading. I haven't received any other complaint about it as of now.
From what I've seen online, it may come from an error when downloading the game or depending on the software you use to unzip the files. Apparently, this error can occur while using WinRar.
The only thing I can suggest right now is try downloading again or use 7zip if you're not already using it instead of WinRar.
