Thank you for the great feedback! I'm looking forward to sitting down with your project soon :)

Thank you for the feedback! I think I really pushed the Godot AudioStreamGenerator to its limits with this project, and I couldn't really optimize it more without having to rewrite a lot of code in C++, and even then I'm not sure it would fix the issues.
Great point about controlling the pitch wheel with midi, I'll put that on the list of post-rating-period improvements! :)
Very fun little project! Using actual photos and an actual hammer (is that what that's called? ahah) is some very nice skeuomorphism (yeah I just wanted to use a fancy word).
I noticed the notes had a pretty long delay between when I clicked and when the sound played, but switching from my laptop to my desktop to check fixed it, so it might just be a problem with my laptop being slow.
Very interesting idea, I think this has the potential to be a very powerful tool and to make some very nice sounds, but I think the default parameters definitely need to be changed, it took me a while to notice that the frequency was below audible range. My suggestion would be to work on the default parameters for new notes, and maybe have a couple of preset grids to show some of the cool things that can be done with your tool.
Very nice work overall :)
