It's a common issue for me that I delve too much into the technical stuff and lose sight of what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm building a game, and anything that doesn't progress in that should be pushed aside. For the next few days, I'll be concentrating on building the Derelict UI in Playdate, and then publish the next devlog.

Starting to work on items to place in the rooms. Then we can add interaction between the player and those items, which becomes the initial gameplay we implement in the game.

Actually, I didn't need to raise the ceiling. Different areas in Archon can have different ceiling heights. The first area is the Waste Disposal sector with simpler rooms. Doors open sideways rather than up/down, so gutters are not required for these rooms.

Made mistakes making room parts in Derelict; walls are too low to add a rightly-sized doorway. I added trim and raised the ceiling. But I also misaligned the size of the wall with the door gutter on the floor. This will require more time to redo and fix. DOH!

Just added Derelict Demo 1.4, where we rebuilt the starting room using the assets that we've just created using Kenney Shape.
