Maple is such a silly lil' cat! (Love the name, used it in my game too haha). Otherwise though, the art style and color choices are gorgeous. The music was very calming, and I enjoyed taking some time to relax with this wonderful puzzle game :D

I absolutely adore this low-pixel style! As someone who primarily uses GBStudio I'd love to check out more with Pico-8. The whole game was super cohesive, and I loved the background SFX. Also, what happened in 1466... (great dialogue lol)

I love the sketchy style and Lil' Dudes haha! Creative gameplay, and as others have said, would def be elevated by adding some SFX :)

Very relaxing and cute game, great art and fun characters! I noticed that Aubrey's feet disappear in her walking animation, but otherwise very well put together :D

I absolutely love your style of pixel art- very smooth and quite a well put together Itch.io page! The music and FX were very atmospheric, and the building tension, along with attention to detail, made this a lot of fun. The only minor friction point I encountered was jumping into the gameplay loop but after about 30 seconds I figured it out lol.

Thank you for the feedback!! I really like the idea of expanding the map to make the world feel bigger. I might give each animal their own little area in my first round of updates after the Jam :D

Thank you! More coming over the next couple of weeks :)

I appreciate the kind words, I'm glad it stuck the vibe I was going for! I can definitely see how that is jarring, so I will be fixing that in the first update after the Jam lol

Thank you so much! I got a little too caught up in art over gameplay, so aiming to fill it out with more content over the next couple of weeks :D

Thank you for your feedback! My ambitions were a bit high for such a short time period, but I'm glad it gave me an opportunity to push myself.  The idea with the restart was to make it more "grind-y" and introduce whole new dialogues each run... butttt ran out of time haha

Thank you! This was my first time working with a palette this small and it was a really fun experience!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I started to run out of time with the story I wanted to tell, but I thought the mini-games would help keep it interesting :)

Great minds must think alike! I feel like it gives the game a more wholistic experience that way

I'm glad that it came together well! If you have time to play more before the end of the review period I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

It's such a lovely little game! I like the minimal but distinctive sprites - the little slime friends were fun. I also like the twist on classic ladder games such as Donkey Kong but with an added objective. I was a little confused about how to progress the rock to the next level at first, but quickly realized I needed to throw it near the ladder. Great job overall!

Thank you so much, I'm glad that you enjoyed it! Your observation is very astute as those games were big inspirations - you hit the nail on the head haha

Oh no! I just checked a couple different builds and couldn't recreate the issue. Did you try restarting your browser?

Thank you for the heads up, I'm glad you enjoyed! Keep an eye out for the full version soon 😎

Just updated, let me know if you run into any other issues!

Hmm that's strange, is it not running at all or just a blank screen?

This is a game changer for GBStudio projects, thanks for making this!

This pack is awesome! Always excited when a new one drops!

The closing sequence was very well done and inspiring. Overall a cool and interactive way to tell a story!

The issue of dialogue cutting off that is

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue

Will there be more community copies anytime soon? I'm looking to get into journaling RPGs, and I think this might be the one! (Love the Gameboy-esque color schemes!!!!)
