Yes I agree, this is something I will change, thank you!

This game is so conceptually unique and huge props to creating a chasing enemy! I do find the game to be a bit difficult but I am also not the best at parkour/platformers. I think playing around with the jump mechanic and allowing the player to jump just a bit higher for some objects it would be beneficial. The issue I'm running into is a lot of the jumps need large space/prep time but since the monster is right behind you they are difficult. I understand that is also part of the gameplay. If you are not interested in changing that another idea could be to remove colliders at the leg posts of some objects or extending the bars/landing areas for some wiggle room after certain jumps. Overall super awesome job your artwork is outstanding as well. :p
Your story is super descriptive and thrilling. Something that could boost that feeling might be some subtle music of ambiance looping throughout the game. I also love your styling choices, the font pairs well with the narrative. I would be interested in seeing more imagery but I also think your descriptions are compelling enough. :3
The art style for this game is wonderful and extremely charming. I feel it adds a lot to the overall mood and aesthetic presented. I did find the part core a bit frustrating but that may be just because I'm not very good at it. There were a few jumps i kept hitting my head on some branches above. The linear drag is also not in my favor, when you fall off it is not very forgiving but I do think that it leaves a level of ambition and challenge. However being honest, I did rage quit and had to come back to it but that again may be a skill issue. I will say I eventually made it to the second level and something that could defiantly be added is some kind of check point or save after talking with the entity. When I fell during that part core I was sad I was put all the way back tot he start. I cant wait to see how the artwork looks for the second level and how the story progresses.
I feel like this game is the perfect level of difficulty. I found myself confused how the actual physics work when jumping but I think it added a great challenge that when achieved was super rewarding. I am not sure if there is a trick tot he mechanics, I just kept button smashing till it did what I wanted but for me personally I think that's okay. Super cool mechanic and I cant wait to see what the artwork will add.
