Works fine with WinRAR, maybe you did a step wrong?

I apologize for the EXTREMELY late response but everything seems to be in order, so i have a few questions:

1) Are you using Nuclear Throne Together? This sprite mod only works if you are using it!

2) Make sure you unpacked (extracted, it will not work if it's not extracted) in the correct place which is:

C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\nuclearthrone\images

I don't personally teach about pixel art but i can give you some pointers.
The NT style has big thick outlines and lots of anti-aliasing, if you're not experienced in actual pixel art then a great starting point would be "Pixel logic" by Michafrar https://gumroad.com/l/pixel-logic .
