I love this premise. I'm playing solo now and have a few questions. In the Task Resolution portion I see that dice are rolled to determine success or failure. I see a success of 5 or 6 gives you more time. I think rolling 1's takes away 1 minute for each 1 rolled, but what about other results... 2-4. Does nothing happen?
Additionally, when I get an additional 5,6 I get to spend them for extra time. Do I then take each extra success and roll a d3, possibly rolling up to 2d3 based on my trait abilities? It says that I can cash extra 5,6 in to spend time but, "without adding to the timer", while further down, "you can add 1d3 to the timer."
Please clarify. thanks and have a great day.
I agree on some of your statements. I've played for about an hour and am stuck in the forest. The combat seemed a little underwhelming unless the designers wanted to make it simple. On pg. 9 it says on a roll of 1 I can reach Corny Gron. Well, it's impossible to roll a 1 on 2d6, so it seems that I can never reach Corny Gron. I appreciate the effort involved, but I spent most of my time fighting wolves or bears. I didn't understand the character advancement about sacrificing 15 points... is that when I lose combat? I loved the Polish theme, especially when I encountered my first Riddler. I went and found actual Polish riddles and inserted them into my story. Otherwise the Polish theme is sparse and after a while I didn't realize I was actually playing a Polish person in the Polish countryside. I was excited about this, but once I reached my first shepherd hut after an hour I started to get a little bored. I'm gonna cut this short, and have my character reach a satisfying conclusion but I don't think I'm gonna play this to the 6 Advancement conclusion as written.
